  1. Do not get caught up in the 10-0 loss by the Bears to Brenham, remember we held them to 1 questionable hit for 4 innings before changes were made. These kids have beat that team and still believe they will do it again. Brenham is good, so is Channelview and Montgomery...........but so are the Bears of LCM and those teams do not want to play us either. Did anyone noitce in the Top 10 for 4A: Region 3; #1 Brenham #2 Channelview #4 Montgomery #8 LCM #10 Marshall
  2. Bears 10 Ozen 0 WP- Ehlert (4in 2h) Womack (1in) LP- James HR- Cassidy DB-Adams Bears big inning is the 3rd put up 6 runs, helped by the Adams DB and Cassidy HR.
  3. Congrats to the Locals: LCM #8 4A, BC #1 3A, BH #3 3A, HF #5 3A 4A 1. Brenham 19-1 2. Channelview 16-2 3. Wichita Falls Rider 14-4 4. Dallas Highland Park 15-3 5. Fort Worth Arlington Heights 16-2 6. Montgomery 14-4 7. Azle 16-4 8. Little Cypress-Mauriceville 15-4 9. Burkburnett 18-2 10. Waco Midway 14-4 3A 1. Bridge City 17-3 2. Falfurrias 15-1 3. Mont Belvieu Barbers Hill 14-1 4. Carthage 15-2 5. Hamshire-Fannett 16-1 6. Lindale 16-2 7. Robinson 17-2 8. Breckenridge 12-1 9. Gladewater 15-3 10. Atlanta 12-3
  4. Nothing but love from Bear Country, Get well soon.
  5. And how dare I forget Congrats to Coach Griff and Coach Stephenson, they work hard to help all of the kids find a place to play at the next level
  6. Everyone knows Clayton has signed with A&M but good news out of North Orange for more Bears: Kyle Adams and Kyle Cassidy according to reports committed to Hill Jr. College this past weekend. Congrats to two great kids and fantastic families. Also Wes Schneider is reported to have a nice offer on the table from Laredo Jr. College, also congrats to him and his family on his upcoming choice. stay tune more to come>>>>>>>>>>
  7. Bears Bats were blasting 16-0 WP- Adams HR- Hughes 3B- Adams 2B- Ehlert, Womack, Cassidy, Dugas, Martin Bears 16-4, 4-0
  8. Brandon is nursing a very sore ankle injury he had earlier. He has thrown prior. During the LCM game when he moved to first it was very noticable. One tough kid.
  9. It would be hard to put Eric in front of the BIG 3: Angelle Ehlert Harwood I agree that Eric is a great pitcher and being LH should be highly sought after prospect. I do wonder if he is being shopped? remember WOS had one of the best pure hitters in the area last year in Becker and he was not helped at all in his efforts to go to the next level.
  10. Bottom line is both teams had to deal with the same problem and in the end the Bears came out on top, defense in the 7th cost the Dogs. I cannot wait till our visit to the Dogpound should be another great game....
  11. It was a classic LCM Nederland matchup, both teams going at it hard. WP- Ehlert LP- Smith HR- Martin Bears had 6 hits- Schnieder 2, Martin 2 , Lemoine, Dugas Nederland had 4 hits 2 -DB's I hate to say it but the calls behind the plate were terrible for both sides and it takes away from a hard fought battle by the kids. Nederland is good and will likely only have 1 District loss when the Bears go to Nederland.
  12. LCM Players: Wes Schneider .571 for the week DB. Landon Womack .500 HR, DB and 5ip no -hits as part of a combined no-hitter with Ehlert.
  13. I know that is the case in MLB but I do not believe it is in HS, but if it is than my mistake. I know Tuesday night Ehlert got the win with only 2 inn. pitched. I will check...
  14. LCM 7 PNG 1 WP-Dugas SV- Ehlert LP-Mire Bears only had 3 hits as did the Indians, defense hurt PNG and the Bears had two nice plays to save runs one at the plate and the other by Dugas at second to take a second hit away from McInnis and saved a run. Pitching by both teams tonight was strong Mire and McInnis for the Indians and Dugas and Ehlert for the Bears. LCM now 14-4 and 2-0 host Nederland Tuesday night.
  15. Not sure of the site, just know from talking to a scout that he is a member of a group created and e-mails are sent to notify the scouts.
  16. I can promise you the LCM Bears are not taking the Indians lightly, they are working hard in practice and going into this just as it should be and that is the two teams picked to fight for the title. And I know the boys at the reservation could be 0-20 but beating LCM would make all that go away..........
  17. According to the Web site Coach Bryant uses to let scouts know when Kevin will pitch he is not scheduled this week at all.....
  18. Last year Ehlert was set-up on a Tuesday rotation during District, that being said you do not win a district with one pitcher. Womack has been strong this year as has Dugas,Adams and Cassidy. All of the above throw strikes and can win against any team if that happens with our defense. As far as PNG or your beloved Bulldogs who knows who pitches, but the way the offense is going and our defense is playing???????
  19. LCM 10 Lumberton 0 WP- Ehlert Ehlert (2in) and Womack (4in) combine for a no-hitter in 6 innings: Bear Offense was rockin': Schneider- 3 hits (DB) Rowell- 2 hits Womack- 3 hits (HR) Dugas- 2 hits Hughes- DB
  20. BC28in80, I was there to witness the catcher from Brenham's shot. We were teammates>>>>>
  21. Here are the promised numbers for Ehlert: From Tuesday thru the tourney: 15-20 .750 batting average 2 DB, 1-3B, 2 HR with one being a GS. LCM as a Team hit .450 for the week scoring 55 runs and only allowing 12. 6 hrs, 2 3B's and numerous DB's.
  22. The only problem with pitching around Ehlert or any one in the Bear lineup is the next one can kill you. This Lineup is swing a hot bat at the right time, they started slow but within the last week the Bears have 5HR, 2-3B's, at least 12 DB's all in 5 games.
  23. I will be getting some stats for Clayton Ehlert so everyone can see what a amazing streak he is on. No disrespect for any player but this will be a easy selection. He is something like 13-17 at the plate with 2 HR's one a GS and about 4 or 5 doubles and a triple. I will get more accurate stats and post asap.
  24. Bears came out flat vs OF but ended up coming out on top 7-2 to claim the Jasper Tourney title at 4-0 WP-Hughes HR- Rowell,Cassidy(2) DB- Womack Beasr stand at 12-4 heading into the District opener as they welcome the Lumberton Raiders Tuesday night 7PM.
  25. Jasper is probably the best hitting team we have faced with the exception of Brenham, up and down Jasper's lineup they are a solid bunch with 2 big boys in the middle. Dugas gave up 4 in the firt 4 innings and Ehlert 2 in the final 3, it didn't appear that either one had there best stuff, but that is baseball. The way the Bears are swinging right now it would not have made a difference who Jasper threw. Even the outs posted by the Bearswere hard shots, but give Jasper credit they are solid and should have no problem in that district.
