1.
RockinA, why don't you mind your own business. You are just a Thomas hater. This post is about Stump leaving not Sup Thomas.
Another blind loyalist, I see.  The truth is painful at first, fuseball, but follow the light and eventually you'll get used to it.  Coach Stump wasn't take care of, and as a result, BISD lost a good and dedicated coach.  I hate that, but I know he's going to a much better place.  You're right, this is about Coach Stump leaving.  I digressed, but I'm back on track now.  I apologize, but I saw the truth being ignored, and I had to bring it into the discussion.
 2. In successful organizations, integrity trumps blind loyalty every day of the week.  Blind loyalists will never see the truth because they refuse to open their eyes.  If you're the highest paid in the state (in the state, people!), then you should produce the best results.  If you don't, then the price tag just ain't worth it.
 3. WB's football program is much better today than it was when he took it over.  Good job, Coach Stump, and good luck to you and your family.
 4. Keep in mind that a superintendent only does what the school board allows him/her to do.  Last time I checked, superintendents are appointed and have their contracts renewed by elected school board members.
 5. When you're #1 in the state, you are held to a much higher standard, right?  Who's the highest paid superintendent in the state?  Enough said as to why thomas gets the blame with anything that goes wrong within BISD.  Lower his salary to the appropriate level, and the intense attacks (which only seem to empower him) will decrease.  If taxpayers are paying for the most expensive superintendent in the state, then they want the best superintendent in the state.  That is clearly NOT happening in BISD.  IMO, all of the negative BISD press only reminds taxpayers that they're getting the raw end of the deal, and thus, they use, for example, the WB fieldhouse to vent.  Rid the district of the most costly budget item (thomas), and I believe you'll see folks begin to put things in perspective.
 6. Good luck to Coach Stump and his family.  He has served West Brook well, and I'm sure many, if not most, of his players will agree.  Regardless of why he's leaving, I wish him the very best.
 7. I'm sure the Honorable Todd Sutherland will do everything possible to ensure his team does not let their #1 ranking go to their head.  As stated, this ranking means nothing.  His team has a lot of potential to go far in this year's playoffs, and he is THE coach to guide them to Austin.  Knowing the Honorable Todd Sutherland, he'll probably make them condition even more.  Good luck HJ!!

Central      56 Ozen          52
Perfect name to describe this team.
How would you describe WB's season so far? They are a good 4-8 team!
WB fans deserve better.
 9. I think it is different for a college program because punishments in years following can hurt recruitment efforts, and players can move to another school if Im not mistaken. As for Ozen and any punishment involved I would like to recommend one of two. 1 Next season when playing Vidor, Jacobi Jones should be required to play the entire game with his shoelaces tied together, and Trey Green also if he is returning. 2 Next season, again only in the Vidor game, the Ozen end zone should be shrunk to a 1 square foot patch of field, placed on a skate board, with a string attached to it, ran to Coach Mathews hand! Now that there is funny stuff.
WOS beat Bridge City in district, right? Coldspring beat Bridge City in the playoffs, right? Has Bridge City got better since they lost in Week 1 of playoffs? The game between Coldspring and Bridge City was a good game.  7-0.  Why would it have been better in Week 4 of the playoffs? :o :o :o :o
Nobody knows if BC has gotten better since week 1.  They've been throwing the baseball for a month now.
I'm sorry, thats hilarious.  I can't help but think of the famous Albert Einstein quote... Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Maybe next year ;)
we were all thinking the same thing; some folk just be delusional
 12. Coldspring's offensive line really started each spark. They didn't dominate every play, just most of them. When offense produces, lines normally go unnoticed, but nobody scores without holes being created in the trenches.
 13. Ditto on the sportsmanship for both teams. The combo of #1 & #8 for CS will be tough for any team to overcome. One of them is bad enough, but when both of them produce like they did tonight, the opposing team can't focus on both. What a great situation to be in. I haven't seen the remaining teams play, but when they see tonight's game film, I'm sure they will be very concerned as well.
