1. Lumberton had HRs today from: Tyler Erickson 2 HRs, 1 vs. Liberty and 1 vs. Cameron Yo Wes Bingham 1 HR vs Liberty Ryan Hughes 1 Hr vs Cameron Yo (Grand Slam) Cody Cowart 1 HR vs Cameron Yo
2. I understand Thursday's Lumberton game in Bridge City has been cancelled.
3. I've see both Felts and Ty Parker play and they're very good batters.  But as far as playing the catcher position, I'd take Lumberton's Wes Bingham hands down.  He knocks everything down and throws out runners trying to steal.  He's picked off runners on all three bases that were trying to get a lead.  He's very quick out of the gate and fires the ball.  Wes has also had 3 homers this year, so he's also good with his bat.  I like all three players, but I think Wes is the best overall.  I know he's talking with several colleges but hasn't yet committed.
4. Great job Raiders going 4-1 in the tournament.  The parents fully support the team and the coaches.
5. The fonts were a little squirley, it shows sept 24.
6. This was just one game.  It was a well played game early in the season and could have went either way.  No blow outs, no cause for concern, there were bright spots on both sides.  This one game has been way over analyzed.  Let's acknowledge the positives and get ready for the next one!
7. Good news, I heard there was no impact at the south end of the lake or in the jetty channel from several fisherman.  One redfish was caught wearing nomex. :D :D
8. Can anyone give a report if the oil spill impacted the lake, the jettys, or boat launches?
9. Like the Heisman, there's always a great player that doesn't get the award.  Cantue was a great player, but it's the coaches who watch countless hours of game films and made Kyle Gilliam their 1st Team All-District Center in 2008-2009.  I think you have to respect their selection.  To say Cantue was robbed is incorrect.  To say he was also an awesome player and very deserving is correct.
10. Graydog: What team?  I think the Orange Leader only listed the LCM honorable mentions.  Beaumont Enterprise and Pt. Arthur News have not released the story.  Once they do, you'll probably see him listed.

12. Congrats to all. I know there were many other outstanding players who didn't get picked.
13. Good luck Jags and Bears.  Keep it going, we're proud of you.
14. I kept lookin for Thunders response, I guess he's sleeping after eating way to much crow....
15. It doesn't sound like the cubs are getting beat like a drum.....  It sounds like the cubs are doing a little beatin' of their own.  Might be a long night for the injuns, unless Faircloth can make some adjustments.
16. Ok, here's how it could happen.  Tied 2-2 at the end of regulation Team A kicks a field goal making it 5-2.  Then Team B has a wacky play where they throw an interception, the DB runs down to the goal line, gets hit from behind and fumbles, Team B player picks the ball up in their own end zone and tries to run it out but gets tackled.  Final score 7-2.
17. I heard Tyler Erickson, another Sundevil, maybe signing with McNeese.
18.
Congrads to Peyton Ploch-Dayton 30 tds.in differant positions=3 per game-best scoring in all of SETX in class 4A.Defensive stud as well.
Wow!  Congrats to Peyton and good luck to Dayton in the playoffs.  That's the stat I'm looking for.
19. AAW:  How does the list look if you sorted by the yards per reception and yards per carry and TDs?  I guess you would have to have two columns for QBs for the passing and rushing.  I know your stats maybe more accurate and I'm curious how they would look.
20. Lumberton will be much better than last year.
21.
Next season Lumberton returns alot of players and could make a run for a playoff spot and maybe more depending on Anthony Beard, and their hitting. Corbin Bell  P/IF Jr last season Stats  7-3  ERA arond 2.2   1st team all-district Pitcher last season as a sophmore. Playing his Summer baseball with the TPX Jaxx and Beaumont Gladiators and has looked strong all summer. Has got his velocity up to 84 last weekend at a wood bat tounry in Dallas. Anthony Beard P/OF Sr as a sophmore was the number 1 for Lumberton and was clocked as high as 88 toward the end of the year. missed last season because of his knee injury so if he comes out and how quickly he picks things back up will be the key. Tyler Erickson P/IF Sr Hard throwing lefthander that has a ton of potential and was looking really strong until he hurt his Elbow against BC. Also has alot of pop at the plate. Plays his summer ball with the Sun Devils and has been making good progress this summer Ryan Hughes OF Jr Really good hitter that was up and down last season. If he can hit like hes capable then he will be a big contributer in the middle of the line up. Wayne Stanley SS Jr Has been the starting SS since his freshman year. Last year was great at SS but struggled at the plate. Has been playing with the Gladiators this summer and hitting really well. will be a big key for Lumberton at the top of the lineup. Lance Pace OF Soph started most of the season in centerfield last season and really hit the ball well when he was on varsity. I think he will be primed for a big season. Dylan Bronson P/IF Soph played alittle bit on Varsity last season and struggled alittle. He did get a save against HJ. could find a spot in the infield next season.
Also returning for Lumberton: Wes Bingham - Catcher, Sr Ryan Dunkleberger - P, Jr. Ty Choate - Pitcher, CF Sr.
22. Congrats and Good luck to all 20-4A playoff teams, the Raiders support you all the way to State!  You all had a great year.
