1. Wow, since it wasn't tarped.  Maybe we could get the helicopters and dry it out.....or maybe roll out a big roll of that green outdoor carpet from Home Depot.... ;D.  I know, can I call Burnett and schedule this game at the Rez???  Boys better put your all terrain tires on cause it's gonna be muddy at the Bear's den.
2. Can anyone report on the condition of LCM's field?  Does it drain well?  Was it by chance tarped?
3. Raiders just need to put it together, stop the fumbles and penalties.  They'll be fine and I think this will be an interesting game.
4.
I bet you ol pencil pushers not gonna get in dem stands tonite and holler for them boys since it going to be colder dan a dich diggers boots. If you do go dont be cawt snugglin up under an ole blanket with momma sayin you is a tough supporter of dem boys either.
now that's funny ;D ;D
5. I forgot about Dayton.  I can't remember but I'm sure the new stadium in Beaumont will have turf?  With three teams sharing, they would have to have turf.
6. Stand tall Raiders, we're behind you all the way!!!
7. Clear, cool, and sloppy playing conditions tonight...except at the Rez!  Must be nice.
8. We've lived in both places, it's a huge difference.  Why do you think everyone is leaving Beaumont?  I would really like to hear your answer and make it a little more intelligent than your last post.
9.

This is proof positive, the higher you go, the bigger the let down. One of the reasons the stadium was remodeled, what 7 or 8 years back, was because we were overflowing the other side even though we had nothing more than so so teams. Now, we have a couple of great years and stumble this year and it's like roaches in the kitchen, turn the light on and we scattered. I admit, I left early last Friday, it won't happen again, but like I said in another post, it was a combination of disappointment and physical pain (I forgot to take my magnesium). I'll keep an extra bottle of pills in my truck from now on. Oh and to answer Rangers third question, the how for Lumbertons growth was of course the housing boom as well as expanding industry in the Golden Triangle. The why is a pretty good school district and not being land locked like PNG which has virtually no room to grow and the preception that Lumberton is a really nice community. I once heard estimates that within 20 years Lumbertons' population could actually reach 50,000. Now before anyone pops off, is the perception real or not? That depends on each individuals opinion. I do know one thing for sure, until Interstate 69 is built, we will continue to have traffic jams that rival Houstons' own.  :o  :P
I know you didnt mean it as a dig against PNG, but it sounded like it a bit.  I dont want to expand anymore in Port Neches.  We have 400+ more kids than you in our highschool, so, once you reach that student registration....if you do, which I heard you will not due to the city being unable to accomodate much expansion with your infrastructure....due to lack of businesses, then we will see how much room you have left.  heck, as a matter of fact, I know many areas in Port Neches and Groves that are expanding, so bring your butts to PNG.....GREAT school district, GREAT football, and NICE community. Aside from that, why is everyone so afraid to mention the real reason in Lumbertons expansion?  I hear it from just about every Lumberton person that I know who has relocated out to Lumberton.
My wife and I both grew up in areas that have very diverse demographics.  We both work in Beaumont, but we moved to Lumberton after living in Beaumont for 5 years because we wanted our kids to live in a community where the schools have no gangs and the neighborhoods have little crime.  Also the air does not have the chemicals like Beaumont or mid county.  Now I'd like to know the "real" reason you're talking about?  It's not race.
10. Should be a very good game.  Both teams are evenly matched.
11. Well spoken LR1969 and I couldn't agree more.  I'll throw my 2 cents in as well.  It's easy for anyone to get upset when others make ignorant comments.  We've all come a long way from the way it used to be and let's be proud of that and keep moving forward.  Let's not get sucked in or fooled by someone else's ignorance.  If you hear it, just consider the source and move on.  There will always be ignorance in the world.
12. MVP--------------------- Caleb Harmon, RB PNG - District Leader in Rushing Offensive MVP----------- Ryan Hughes, QB Lumberton - District Leader in Passing and Rushing for a QB Defensive MVP----------- William Jones, Central LB - Big hitter and impact player Newcomer--------------- Brennan Doty, QB PNG - Efficient, Good Passing Stats and Leader of Only Unbeaten Team
13. L-town fans will be there and the boys are looking good in practice this week.
14. The fans in Lumberton are very faithful.  It's not like it used to be in Lumberton.  We have a great coach and a great team.  We've had a few injuries like everyone else and it's been hard to overcome when you don't have the depth.  We've lost some close games that could have gone the other way.  We all know that, so I hope no one is getting the wrong impression from reading the posts on this thread.  Lumberton is just fine.  This is high school football and that's the way the ball bounces sometimes.
15. The Lumberton posters are well and alive.  We're just ready to see the kind of football we know we're capable of playing.  After the way we've played the last four games, it's time to shut up and start put'n up.  We can't trash talk if we can't back it up!
16. Raider Nation:  Let it go.  We're all frustrated and there's nothing we can say to change our position.  Now, maybe after tomorrow night.......
17. I can't disagree. Nederland may do a little better than you showed. It may come down to the last week; good matchups between LCM/Ozen and Ned/Lumberton to determine the final spot between Ozen, Lumberton, Livingston, or Nederland.
18. Good game Ozen. Let's give credit where credit is due. You made the big plays when you needed them. This sure makes an interesting playoff scenario.
19. I like my crow well done. Stuff it with Jalapenos and wrap it with bacon. Soak it in a gallon of vodka, throw the crow away and let me guzzle the vodka!!!!
20. We will see about that. All I'm gonna say is all three of our running backs are in the top twenty with one of them number five. I think everyone's opposing point is if you consider the yardage by all three Vidor backs against the teams in the district, you will see different results than what you're reporting. I haven't done the numbers, but I wish someone would.
21. I'll respond and be as sensitive to soulja as possible since he got upset with me last time. My opinion which doesn't mean jack to soulja or vidor (they hate me too) is everyone I know that was at the Lumberton games were very surprised at how weak Vidor and Central looked. We were expecting a lot more. Yes they both beat Lumberton and we're not going to make any more excuses, even though on the vidor film all of the flags (not the false starts) that were thrown against Lumberton were extremely "questionable" and they capitalized and won. Even though the Central game, the only scores came mainly because of the Lumberton's own miscues, "gifts" as I called them. Central's D lineman was good enough to run a 95 yd TD and I credit him for that even though the fumble he picked up was a result of the mud and not any defender's hit. I would love to see a rematch and hopefully if all three make the playoffs, some kind of rematch could occur. I'm not crying and don't want to engage in any more discussions, this is my opinion and no one will change it. The district has a parity about it this year that makes all the remaining games close and not upsets. My prediction is the only upset will occur when Vidor gets upset over not making the playoffs. So I agree that if Nederland wins tonight, it will not be an upset.
22. Stuff it with lots of Jalapenos so they can enjoy it tomorrow. Call the dish Coach Parker Deluxe.
23. Vidor will have 2 losses after tonight. Like Happy Gilmore said "Somebodys closer".
24. I guess the money BISD is saving on the demo of South Park, they can afford a $1 million scoreboard. Maybe they can connect a wireless router to the thing so all the Beaumont "fans" that stay home will be encouraged to pull it up on their computer and watch the game from home.
