1. JBDfan:  You can analyze any game any way you want, bottom line their were missed calls on both teams like any game.  How about the pass interference call that kept Jasper in the game??  There were many missed opportunities for both.  Tensions were high for both teams because of the high scoring and Lumberton comeback.  Lumberton played very well against a very fast and physical  Jasper team.  They should do well in their district barring anymore injuries.   Raider Oldtimer:  Coach Credeur had many of his 2nd string players in on the last series including the backup QB and a 5'2 RB, please don't stir the pot and make bad assumptions and even worse comments.  Credeur was not "punishing" anyone, that's an absurd assumption.  I think you're the one who said Hughes should not be a QB, so I rest my case.
2. Good job Raiders, total team effort.  Jasper is a very explosive team and will be fine in district play.  Their passing was better than I expected.  I think 20-4A will again have a crazy finish.
3. looks like the Central-Coldspring matchup could be a great game ;D ;D
4. Wish the best to Dionte and hope this doesn't hurt his career at A&M.
5. I didn't see SMU on your list of 55 either.  I think the point is Lamar is a good engineering school.  Besides Lamar and McNeese, there's not too many local schools you can get an engineering degree from.  Not at SFA, SHSU, or Tx State or other Southland conference schools.
6. I talked with the organizer, a local real estate agent, and the scoreboard is expected to be completed on Monday after the Jasper game.  The new LED scoreboard will be 32' wide and the system will include a new sound system.  Too bad it won't be ready for the Jasper game.  The old scoreboard was checked out and they said it was fine for the Jasper game.
7. Ok, how about CBT Sports Complex?  Educational Center just doesn't fit unless there are plans to add some kind of training or classroom facility.  You get my point and I know people are tired of talking about the name.
8. All kidding aside, why can't a stadium be called a stadium or a field instead of an Educational Support Center?  What is an educational support center?  Sounds more like a library than a football field.
9. Gary Kubiak just announced the Texan's Reliant Stadium was being changed to "The Reliant Educational Support Center".  In addition to football, they will teach proper hotdog eating and beer drinking etiquette on Saturday mornings.  Mon through Friday, they will offer English classes.
10. If you come out of a scrimmage smarter and with no injuries, you won.
11. The hype is great, but it's way to early to start making predictions with any degree of accuracy until we see results from pre-district play.  One thing is for sure, PNG and Central will both have depth.  As far as PNG/LCM goes, I'm guessing it will be a close game and not a blow out.  I wouldn't be surprised if LCM wins!
12. The following cutoff numbers were in Saturday's Bmt Enterprise: 6A - 2215 and up 5A - 1398 - 2214 4A - 604 - 1397 3A - 287.5 - 603 2A - 147 - 287.4 1A - 146 and under
13. Good post LR1969.  Another example; Silsbee did well last year in 3A with Jeremy Johnson, but they still lost to Lumberton.
14. I was very impressed with Nederland, the fans, the coaches, the field, and of course the players.  Good luck in the playoffs Big Ned.
15. A lot of hype going into 20-4A district play. It will be exciting and Lumberton will be a contender to win a playoff spot.  They've shown they are a force after winning against some of the top 3A schools in Orangefield, Bridge City and Cameron Yoe.  They have depth in pitching; 9 solid pitchers.  Three aces are Erickson, Bell and Bingham.  Up and coming soph is Brunson who's pitched very well.  Hughes has also had good performances on the mound.  In the last 4 games Lumberton scored 47 runs with 4 players (Bingham, Erickson, Hughes, Cowart) hitting a total of 9 HRs.  Lumberton's overall record is 10-2 with losses to Kelly and Bridge City.  They have one of the best catchers in Bingham.  The infield is solid and turning DPs.  The outfield is probably their biggest improvement, speedy CF and lead off hitter Lance Pace just eating up everything (even walls).  There's a lot of bright spots up and down the lineup, it's just a much improved team from last year.  It will be interesting to see how they fit in the mix of 20-4A.
16. Hicks threw for BC and was impressive.  Raiders started Sophomore Brunson and he pitched well.  Nice game by the Cards.
