Look most new PN-G would take a masterful game with a lot of self-inflicted mistakes by FBM for us to win. If you are disappointed in this team of Indians then you need to look at yourself. These kids played a great season. I am so happy for the team. Time for them too celebrate a great season. Here is my message to you. PN-G will be a really good team next season. Blake Boast will be a great young QB and he will be here for two seasons. The O -Line will wholly be back next season including the best O lineman in southeast Texas in J Garth. DaeDae will be in the backfield next season with Deslatte all who watches lower school football knows what he can do. The Indians will be a good team again next season and will compete for the first goal of a district championship. I look for a fine Indians team in 2019. Its been a pleasure watching these past three seasons. and the three with Morse as well. The Indians will do as they always do and march on into the next battlefield.

This has nothing to do with coaching, it’s all about FBM being better. Their team speed is unreal

Are you kidding? FBM is really good.    Really Good...They have 6 starters on offense faster than our fastest guy on defense. We could literally be the best tackling team in the state and we still don’t hang with this team.

People have a hard time believing when a team is simply better. Always gotta resort to blaming coaches. God forbid we let the players take ownership.

Why is Coach Burnett’s name even being brought up. He hasn’t coached at PN-G in 10 years...

Those of us closer to the situation have known that for a while. I have never heard of it slowing down offers though. Many setx athletes are dual sport players and receive attention in both. Riggs led 22-5a in goals scored and was head and shoulders better than the kids in soccer. Regardless of what he chooses, I still think he deserves the acknowledgment

I'm still trying to figure out how 371 total yards and 5 touchdowns is average. From the late 80's to now I'd rank Roschon as the top QB I've ever seen in SETX. He is a true duel threat. A guy that can take off, but is absolutely comfortable staying in the pocket if he can, and also throws a beautiful ball. Chip was at Brook when I was at PNG. He was pretty special, but I'd put Johnson over him. Just a personal opinion. Dustin Long was my teammate in baseball. Great arm, was sneaky fast when he had to be out of the pocket.
There's a reason huge football programs are going after Johnson as a quarterback.
And I wouldn't worry about the kid reading into the press clippings, if you've spent any time with him you'd know that he's not a ME guy. He always praises teammates. He's the type that scores, jogs to the cooler for water and takes a seat to talk to his teammates. He's also the type of guy that the week after being eliminated from the playoffs you'll see at the stadium working to get better. There are very few players that have the type of dedication he does.
There's an IT factor I've seen in players that I've covered and he's got it. The others that I've seen it in since being in the media: Shanderrick Charles, Jamaal Charles and Earl Thomas. Those were the type of players that were just on another level. I really wish Shanderrick wouldn't have had his injury.
Does this mean that RJ is destined for greatness in the NCAA and the NFL? Absolutely not. But to say he is average isn't being realistic.

Congratulations to PNG  on a convincing win.  I can see an undefeated regular season as a probable outcome, but in rivalry games, (Nederland)  a lot of times the contests are a tossup regardless of records. (See Texas/OU last week). As a Pirate and Longhorn fan, I will be glad to see Roschon depart the Reservation and begin his college career on the 40 Acres, it's just a shame he has to wait til after next year. (Lol)

What I find interesting about this picture, is that for a team that always stacks its best players on offense, and then throws the outcast bodies over on defense, how did (5) of the (10) best athletes coming out of spring offseason end up on defense this fall?

Name one underclassman, that was a starter on defense in 2016, that did not return to his starting position this season?  All of the returning starters are playing except for Stansbury who switched to offense.  Just because a kid started in pee-wee football coached by your neighbor, or at the junior high, freshman, or JV levels, does not guarantee a starting spot at the varsity level.  Players earn their spot.  If an underclassman is better, he should play.  MB deferred to upperclassmen and likely went 5-5.  Those teams tackled well and still missed the playoffs.  I'll take what we have now.  Post-Dustin/Mike Long, MB had two losing seasons and three 5-5 seasons.  But, go watch the film, they tackled well.  Maybe Coach Arnaud decided to coach a lower level for his own reasons.  Maybe he wanted less stress or he wanted to spend some time with his family.  Perhaps we should ask him?
But, don't worry, Coach Faircloth will tire of the BS and move on.  When he does, you can go back to 5-5 won/loss records and celebrate upperclassmen making tackles until basketball season starts.
    Go Indians.  Peace.

One can only assume you have an interest in a senior by your posts. I only said #20 because he appears to be one one of the fastest players on the team. I am not a BF lover by any stretch. But I can assure you he is not playing lower level talent because of last names or money. His job depends on winning. Period......

Nope. They don't practice. The Coaches don't teach them anything. The Coaches don't have a clue who should play where. It is a miracle they know to put 11 players out there. Just 5-0. Could you imagine if some of these idiots sent their kids to Ozen or Lee, or Livingston? Can you imagine what they would say about other coaches who struggle to play .500 every year? It is sad. The reason you have players or show up with poor attitudes or openly question the coaches in front of other players is because of parents like this. You know these parents sit at home and trash the coaches who are undefeated and pump little Johnnies head that his coaches don't know anything.

I'm sure the Coaches have been reading, and making notes and adjustments throughout the week. I expect a much better Indian defense this coming week.
