Thanks Yeoj, he made us so proud. Rodney will Graduate with Honors. That means more to him than any athletic accomplishment. I'm so grateful God has allowed us to be a part of his maturity. Sports pales in comparison to his Excellence in Education. Through it All, Ozen is producing very productive students; Others Beaumont Schools also

He is doing fine, should be out a couple weeks. I'll let his Family know the Dogs are Praying. Praying also for the 2 Big Ned kids also

It's not the coach. It's not a bunch of undisciplined kids. The team has a few decent players. Past that, there just ain't enough tools in the shed. Look at Silsbee. They generally have a pretty good playoff caliber team. Not this year. One day when I have the time, I will outline the reasons for Lumberton not being a successful football school year in and year out with s few exceptional years. It parallels the same problems that Lamar's program has. I'll get back with yall on this.

I love the rivalry...the BEST in Texas as far as I'm concerned! But what I love more, is watching the FINEST young men in TEXAS, on both teams, play with all their  HEARTS to our entertainment one time each year during MCM.  I graduated from Newton, so purple runs deep in my veins, and my first taste of a PNG game, when I heard the war drums, I was hooked. When my son was the Indian Spirit for PNG, he dated the girl who was BIG NED for Nederland. Those kids showed nothing but respect for each other, did several stints together, she in her BIG NED costume, my son in full headdress and regalia.  I say all this for a reason, I know it's all fun leading up to MCM, however, let's don't lose sight of these fine young people from Nederland and Port Neches-Groves, go out and entertain us on that special Friday night in Southeast Texas. Many of these kids read these posts. It's okay to disagree, but not become disagreeable with personal insults and attacks. Best of luck to Nederland. Best of luck to PNG. Again, I feel these are two of the BEST teams in the state of Texas!

I heard through the grapevine that Neumann has his own recruiting office at the ShIre... Word is Fairclothe hangs at the car wash in Lumberton and sends his recruiter to HF on every other weekend. Nederland booster club is working OT to make the ends meet... Fairclothe just shows pics of the stadium and field house... Plus he gives away a deluxe wash to interested party's... We've given up 40 + points to every team we've played except Lumberton & we don't think Defense is the problem?? Heck, the only name I heard All Night was #25 & he was tackling with one arm. I agree the offense needs to get better, but the Defense needs to do much better. Only way we Win games is to out score opponents until the Defense steps up. All the Hype of these so called Middle School & Pee Wee league All Americans hasn't panned out. Friday Night Lights ain't MS or Pee Wee. Everybody is good @ Lower Levels, now that the playing field is sort of Level, the Hype is measuring up. I'm so Sick & Tired of listening to the excuses. If anyone has a reason to complain it could be my Family, but we choose to make no excuses for our Son. He has persevered through it All & will continue to make plays for his Team. This is a Team Sport & he will fight to the End or answer to me. Everyone needs to step up as a Community Win or Lose. This shouldn't be just left up to the kids. Either you're part of the solution or part of the problem. Not directed to anyone in particular, just responding to this Defense comment & had to Vent
