why are yall saying these outrageous point spreads, if you remember last year it came down to a "controversial"call in overtime and a one point win for wos.  kirbyville was younger than they will be this year and what does wos have coming back? yes wos got the W last year but lets be realistic about the score this year, i dont see it being a blowout by either team no matter what

I said WO-S by 10, how is that a blow out?
never said i was talking to you but if you want to take it personal then that is your business....and i never said ten points was a blowout, but beating someone like a drunk stepfather on Christmas Eve.  C'mon man !!!

Who's the Houston kid?
Houston Vanya.  Kid has good size probably 6'2" or so and a great arm.  watched him play a game this past year on jv. was very impressed at how far he was able to throw, and how he led his receivers down field and let them catch the ball.
4. I watched every Kirbyville game this year and i still dont believe that Ford runs a 4.3.  I'll give him a 4.4-4.5, as for the kids that ran him down, they all had a slight angle and if you have seen Ford run sometimes he goes into a short stride on those long runs.  The guy from Camden that ran him down didnt do it from srtaight behind and the next time Ford broke loose the guy didnt have a chance, I watched him pull away with my own eyes.
5. Not from beaumont and glad of it....I have lived in Houston before (Galena Park; Northshore area) and dont recall hearing all the fuss that i always hear coming from the Beaumont area. the only way to fix the problems that you have with the school board and the sup. are to VOTE them out just like our congress and the B.O. Regime come November.  Until then, you are just wasting you breathe.  And yes, SFA85, every post (written by you) I have read since I created my screen name has had some sort of racial rhetoric to it.  Also, the problem is not just with BISD or PAISD or any of its students.  It is with the adults as stated earlier.  As a country we have become so politically correct that we cannot fathom someone questioning another without being accused of some sort of "ism" ie: sexism racism.  we cant question the people that we elect and put into office even when we pay their salary.  as i read earlier only 6% of the people polled thought it was a good idea to use CBT as the name for the complex.  I personally believe that only a self loathing individual with a great amount of putrid arrogance would do such a thing as take taxpayer money to build something only to have it named after themselves.  Kind of the way our governmet works all the way up i guess.  it's no longer the power of the people, but the power of the individual and what can be done for oneself.

as for the out of state teams i would leave them alone.  the competition is horrible across the river.  i have seen plenty of their big school games a few years ago and it doesn't hold a candle to the play over here.  not saying that there aren't the exceptions (evangel) but they are just that.  If i remember correct didn't Bmt. Kelly destroy Sulphur a few years back.

for kirbyville i would like Arp, WOS, LCM, and maybe an Ozan or Vidor.

My bad almighty one I wasn't aware i needed to check every freaking keystroke

Rootin' for the Wildcats all the way and I believe they are a strong team, capable of hanging with anyone, but Pilot Point will be a big test. They are big, strong, fast and a large 2A school. I believe Kville can hang with them but they will have to play flawless football to win this game. Again, I will be rooting for the Kats and I hope they prove me wrong but, as much as I hate to say it, I have to go with Pilot Point in this one;

Pilot Point 26
Kville 19

Prove me wrong KATS!!!
Dont think they could hang with Daingerfield
where did that come from?  i don't remember anyone saying anything about kirbyville and daingerfield? You might be looking for some of the arp posters, but you are in the wrong place at the present time.
9. I'm all for running the ball down their throats.  If they can stop the run then we can go to the short passes jsut as we did against newton beginning in the second half. it opened up the running game in a hurry and kept the defense honest.  when that happens turn the lights off and send em home.  stay with what has worked for you so far, make adjustments when needed!!!!

The day of the Kirbyville Newton Game they started parking cars at 10am (not a joke) and there were over 5000 tickets sold. Not a bad fan base for two little Texas towns. Both of these teams have fans that bleed school colors. Good luck Newton. Should someone organize a East Texas Bowl for New Years Day?

You got my vote for it!!!

where is this guy Arp Tiger who was talking so much noise?
I told him Cooper wasn't even in the same ballpark as Ford at RB.
If he had OU scouts there I bet they thought they went after the wrong kid.
He was hurt you know. Not an excuse and I don't think it would mattered overall in the win loss column, but he had an injury that most would not have played. Please give that young man credit for stepping up and playing thru the injury. It was a severaly bruised sternum. I also think defensively he was impressive against you guys. 1 caused fumble and recovery, 1 int, 13 tackles. That's pretty good to me and he had at least 6 open field solo TD saving tackles against ford and irvin. Please don't knock a kid you don't know anything about! the game is over!
I give the man credit for playing hurt. and yeah he did do an extremely great job on defense.  hurt or not.  he did manage to save a few runs that could have went all the way.  take nothing away from him.

I find it hard to believe anybody would take Newton or Kirbyville as a joke. I believie it was Kirbyville that put Arp out of the playoffs last year. I don't think Daingerfield's coaches are taking Newton lightly. If Newton plays turnover free football they can play with anybody. Daingerfield does have a great tradition in football, but I don't think its any better than Newton's. Kirbyville is building their tradition now. Arp, I think, is more of a basketball school. However, their football program is comming along. By the way, I'm tired of people on this site saying how other parts of the state are "overated". Since I moved to the Golden Trangle in 1990, only one team has won a state championship  in football and that team is Newton. Now there have been teams in Champioship games but only one has brought home the trophy and they've done it twice. So, how is the "Golden Triangle " not overated by people on this site, before you start saying one region is overated or someone has played anybody, you really need to think about what you are saying. Nobosy know that until the playoffs start and things shake out.

great point
13. Hey old wildcat I understand what you are saying.  It just got way to far under my skin this morning when I read posts from EC fans stating we are classless and the team isn't what we make it out to be.  I guess I just woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning.  I've lived in Kirbyville my whole life. Heck I was even born in Kirbyville. I remember watching some of the good teams in the late 80's with butch hadnot and shelby shaw, but i was also there when there were 0's in the win column.  It just ticked me off to read this stuff this morning and know that I support every team in southeast texas unless they are on the othere side of the ball from our team.  It's going to be hard to do that with a couple of teams from here on out!  I feel that if you get beat out of the playoffs you should probably support the team that beat you out.
