Sounds like someone's sister should worry more about teaching and less about stirring the pot! If I was said sister I'd be worried about my sibling running their mouth about things like children do and potentially shining a bad light on my career. Potentially causing it to come to an end if the wrong person or right person depending on perspective doing some digging and letting the cat out of the bag. I agree town has been run rampant with politics of the good ol boy system and it looks like those days are coming to an end with current administration and coaching staff.

The situation is sad. I plan on making a school board meeting or two to address my opinion not only on the football program but the high school administration as well. I am willing to spend a few extra tax dollars on a winning program. Taxes are the same now as they were when Alvarez was here and the kids have lost hope in the program and district.

I can speak from an outside and an inside perspective. We just moved back to Kirbyville from San Angelo. My son is a freshman at Kirbyville and plays JV. We had high hopes of a program that would be competitive. Meanwhile, disappointment set in. My wife drove him 3-4 days a week during the summer from Deweyville to workout. Minimal players (4-5) were there. I don't think they knew or were encouraged to show up. I agree the kids own a portion of their conditioning, but it has been proven that there isn't a void of athletes in Kirbyville. When he comes home and tells me they aren't conditioning enough, there is a problem. The coaches are stand-offish and I have heard of many negative interactions with parents, from the parents themselves, one being a school employee. I've expressed my concerns with a board member and hope that Kirbyville will make the necessary changes to correct this atrocity.

I'd be willing to make that happen earlier.

[/quote] I know this might rub some people the wrong way, but if you want to use Bible scriptures and make a stand which I support 100%, maybe they should also walk the walk. Be humble, and a coach that yells at the ref like I saw happen is not a good example. Remember, the meek shall inherit the earth.

Do you think you have to be out on the field to see that there is taunting going on?  do you have to be on the field to see late hits?  if so i guess i will just quit buying tickets and stay at home and take someone elses word for it. 

Jasper has character but the wrong kind im afraid.  Good luck with that.  Guess those maroon colored glasses work really well dont they JBDfan. 

I supported Jasper at their last State Championship appearance against Gilmer.  I WILL NOT support this team in any way.

[/quote] What you saw was our kids reacting to the way your thugs were playing the game.  I hope that with 24 senior thugs on your team that yall would win.  i didnt expect KV to finish the game that strong.  Just remember that with 17 seniors last year we swept, mopped, and waxed the floor with yall last year and still had enough Mr. Clean left to use it the following week.  BTW i got your suck it up right here and I am an adult thats why i can call it like i see it.  And I do do wish them to get knocked out bc any team that can act that way deserves no chance to succeed.  If you cant succeed and be classy the stay at home,  It says little for the head coach there as well to allow that kind  of behaviour

Im going to go ahead and say it. Jasper is the trashiest team I've ever seen in my life next to the comfort bobcats. They take deliberate shots late and taunt more than I've ever seen.  I hope they get killed first round of playoffs.
