the only way to find out for sure is to match them up head on.  Until then all the state wide polls have Kirbyville as the beter team.  Not to mention the last time we played Carthage we won!!!

I actually think that WOS will face Coldspring in the second round of the playoffs.

with WOS going division 2, they very likely could meet up with Kirbyville in the region final game.  I feel like Kirbyville might have the easier road there.  Talk about a game that will draw some attention.

watched the lamarque highlights that were posted.  they looked like they were well coached but i didnt see too many highlights from this running back you hold on a pedastal.  looks like they were playing teams that didnt have a chance to get off the bus without tripping over the steps.

arent the rankings based on how well you do against your opponents in your division compared to what the other schools do in their division? not who would beat who in a matchup?

thinkj it was in 05 or 06.  Kirbyville vs. Barbers Hill  playoof game at conroe...  kville made about an 85 yard drive with :58 ticks left on the clock to kick a FG as time expired...never thought i would see something like that...jasper and gilmer @ SFA was a great one too.

I would like to applaud the Kats on their game last night.  Running clock from pretty much halfway through the 2nd qtr.  Alvarez called them off way early and they still looked pretty impressive even with people I havent seen play yet.  Was also glad to see Huntington score late in the game no matter what string of defense the cats had in there.  It showed they still had a desire to want to play the game.  thought it was a nice show of sportsmanship upon the Kirbyville fans applauding for them, and to hear the horn going off in the end zone.  The cats I feel showed even more class by not taking the ball into the endzone at the end of the game and offering a sign of relief to the red devils by taking it to the sideline with 1:30 left on the clock.  also nice to see them kick off in the 2nd half when they were suppose to receive.  Sportsmanship at it's finest, this one could have easily been 150-0.

If we were going by WINS then you would have to go with the Jones kid from Kirbyville.  He has only lost one game and that was the State Title game to a very good Pilot Point team.  He didnt take over at QB til the loss to WOS last year.  As far as Ford goes his stats are off from last year, but the competition has been very good good at keeping at bay for atleast the first hal of the games.  I can almost guarantee you that his stats are about to jump through the roof for the next 4 games.  Please remember I went by wins as the factor on the QB.  I know there are QBs out there better.  I would love to see someone like Menard from BC in the backfield at Kville.  There would be a running threat everytime the ball was touched, Jones doesnt run that much.

Im understanding that the game will be aired on kfdm.com at 3pm today is that rue and if so where can i find it at?

Coop wouldnt tell you bc he's afraid to upset hooks is what i hear... and why is a coach allowed on the field to rant for that long at the refs...looked like a spoiled rotten kid throwing a temper tantrum over not getting the last cookie from the jar.

Its high school football fellas get over it.. there are going to be blown calls and missed calls in every game even when it doesnt matter...what about the lateral that they called an incomplete pass for WOS?  we can go all night but in the end the best team won

when we were walking out of the stadium we were next to a couple from wills point.  they had nothing but good things to say about kville.  they also made a comment about breed laying the wood to a few folks.

I understand and agree with not wanting this to happen to kids, but who is going to foot the bill?  It costs alot of money to get these tests done and that doesnt mean the kids wont develop the condition over time.  How often deos this happen?  I read a billboard just north of jasper the other day that stated that a child is a victim of a homicide every 2 hours...how often does a family have something like this happen to them?  We have to be realistic people.  I understand this is a very tragic thing to happen.  But at what cost are you willing to go to having these tests done?  eventually the costs will over take the worth of the game just as it does in almost everything the government or any regulating body does.  water it down with cost until it becomes worthless.  i am saddened by what has happened over the last couple of weeks.  My son jsut played his first pee wee game yesterday.  the thought of these things has gone through my mind.  i also understand that i have done everything in my power to make sure he is as safe as i can make him without relying on someone else or someone elses tax dollars through a government channel.  the rest i leave in Gods hands.  All i am saying is that if you get a bunch of people wanting to pass all these rules and regulations upon a game which is played at its purest form, then eventually the game will no longer be around.
