T-daddy

Last years coach said " were gonna hang our hat on defense" it never worked out.  Now we hire the defensive coach from Carthage so I think the fans and people doing the hiring agree with defense first mentality.  That is/was the Jasper way for many years ready for results...

Agree with discipline our 7 &8 grade coaches do a good job. We have had age groups never lose a game until jv then it goes down hill seems like were losing ground in the off season program. Some stability would help..

I personally agree with the stability issue. It's very hard for the kids to constantly have to change positions because of different scheme's.

I've heard it all, Weak senior class- heard this for two years now, morresy is the bright spot. Lack of leadership? No work ethic? It's all about me? Qb- coach playing politics? Passed on sr qb to build future? Heard coaches really like fresh qb and he is future, frustrated with walker.. Coaching- fired last coach cause he went 2-8 he blamed it on lack of talent said last years fresh class (soph class this yr) was only talented class in HS.  New coach- looks like having same problem as last coach some say kids are not smart enough to grasp concept.  Came here as a defensive specialist but has not shown it yet... Offer your opinions everyone has one....

Jasper swept all under classmen games including our freshman vs OF freshman/jv so it makes me wonder is it the kids or the coaching/scheme.  But all age groups are using the same schemes.  Seems the varsity defense is really bad giving up way to many points... Jasper may get another smack down against center this week. If Jasper was still in the south district we would be 0-3 can't remember Jasper struggling like we have the last two years for a long time..

I have been able to watch coldspring,wos, and silsbee against Jasper with that being said... Coldspring is head and shoulders above all 3a teams in our area..wos with Lindsey very good..then silsbee..

There's no way he weighs over 120. Walker has a lot of room to improve, but he's getting better every game. The good news is...he's only a sophomore. I'm picking OF every time I pick Jasper they loose...Jasper's offense is hampered by the play of our QB...but when he does make a good throw we can't catch it (#18) dropped 3 against silsbee...I wonder if the coaches are regretting their decision to start walker over Bolton and give walker a year on jv. But it's to late now cause Bolton bolted to baseball...

Not taking anything away from silsbee....Jasper lost... Last Jasper drive instead of 1st down block in the back is called on field...text book block head in front shoulder to shoulder...blocker hesitated until silsbee player turned...ref made up his mind before contact was made he reaches to his back pocket in anticipation.. Not saying intentional...just wrong..ref on Jasper side terrible... Alright enough crow...going home goooood night.. >:(

The refs didn't cause our wr to drop 3 passes or our qb to make bad decisions or just throw it up.....but.... Watching tape they didn't call some obvious holding on the drive with 2 big completions left tackle was holding on both once pulling him down from the back of shirt ref looking right at it ( you can always find holding on film but not a good crew )

You better put it in the crock pot so it will be tender...much like our D lines back side cause that is where they were all night.... NOT making excuses but how big was the "inadvertent" whistle after the int...instead of 1st and 10 inside the 5 we get the ball around midfield.  ???? Tie game????

7th grade B- Jasper 7th grade A- silsbee 8th grade A- Jasper 8th grade B- Jasper 9th grade - Jasper JV- silsbee ( a lot of underclassmen on varsity for Jasper ) Looks like silsbee will continue being jasper's step child.....

aaw I would throw out  waltrip and Cleveland when looking at the avg. Lumberton and newton will be a lot more comparable with Jasper.  In those 2 games silsbee gave up about 200 yards a game rushing.  Jasper has played a harder schedule so far with livingston,lumberton, and wos that should pay dividends against silsbee.

Badsanta must not have much to see during 4 quarters that is why he looks forward to halftime...

Hey tiger fan Jasper leads the series 42-29-2  :P continue being content with your 1 point victory over newton. Friday nights ride home from the sticks will be long and quite except for the kitty cats asking for ice packs... : :o

The district is one of the weaker 3a districts in football...the champion will be Jasper, kville's run is over in 3a. Maybe they will move to 2a next year but will still struggle against newton.

NO WAY silsbee beats Jasper in Jasper.  Silsbee was lucky to "get by" newton Jasper won't miss any extra points.  Jasper is 2 touchdowns better..
