Heard we hired our BB coach today..should be public tonight..was really suprised at who it is..coming from a school that has not made the playoffs for a while???  We passed up on some good coaches from the triangle area...Green, landry for example..

Jasper has been doing that for as long as I can remember..pretty neat.

[/quote] I agree I want my son to continue playing football so let me tell you a TRUE story..after morgan left coach mixon (baseball coach) continued going to the field house every morning early so the football players could work out. about 15 kids are now showing up and they were just sitting around talking..he asked them why they are not working out that they needed to get stronger faster ect..he asked who was a leader on the team one of our starting soph stood up and said he was the coach started telling him how he needed to lead and encourage everyone to work hard..this (superstar) began dropping F bombs and cussed him up and down including alot of racist comments (towards white's)..now first i give the coach alot of respect for not beating him down..second its this thug mentality that keeps alot of great white athlete's playing baseball year around and out of football..I understand its hard for a football coach to kick a great player off the team but as a father do you really want your son around this type of atmosphere..This has been a huge problem in the past and is the exact reason why alot of great baseball players did not play football..everyone sees the issue of having only 3or4 white kids on varsity when the population of the school is 60% white your playing with one hand tied behind your back..Morgan started making headway in this area and I'm sure Barbay will continue now that he is here..

nope not connected, most knew whit would be leaving. he was hired to pass a bond which he could'nt do..and coach morgan still cant give 1 example of the admin not supporting him..I just wonder how he likes selling hearing aid's.  Heard asst. coach Morgan will just be teaching full time and not coaching..hate that for him..I would'nt be to happy with my brother for hanging me out..

A lot of football players play baseball (fallball) during football season. 

Yes, a baseball class is very benificial in 3a..look at the successful programs and I bet they all have a baseball class period..

what year did wilcox grad..that could be what were looking for..although barbay would probably stay a while too.. Mcgallion coached at woodville before mixon coached there (thought there may be a connection but not).  wondering why Mcgallion wants to leave his new position at lamar to come to jasper?? I see no connection with robinson or drennon.. Wilcox is very intriguing, without knowing to much about him, he may want to come home.. Barbay seems to be everyones favorite around town..we feel he will stay awhile and continue to build a program..and keep alot of the current coaches. Mcgallion- more questions than answers, seems that his age may help him, the admin has been burnt by young coaches and the last thing they want is to be burnt again.. no one really knows foreman around jasper when i mention his name they say who? but i would'nt know him if it wasnt for this site..Everyone agrees admin has to choose a "name" guy to take the heat off of them.  So for that reason Barbay or Mcgallion will get it..

[/quote] BS BS BS and more BS.....if you dont know what your talking about then keep your mouth shut..neither of the guys you mentioned have anything to do with morgan leaving period...morgan wanted to leave and needed to leave for personal reasons he through the admin under the bus to save face in case he ever goes back into coaching...morgan isnt (I'll just stop myself here)...he is a good coach wish him and his famly the best and hope everything works out...he's young and we have all made mistakes at his age..
