Jasper is a much improved team from last year

Glad to see coach doing well in Deweyville... we are gonna miss him in jasper

Well the new super hired this coach after running off the previous coach so .... i feel bad for the kville kids and parents

I'm thinking jasper coaches figured a few things out also ... make a change or two on the offense line and put #11 in the backfield with #25 and jasper should hang 50 on silsbee...

You must be anticipating jasper with 5 turnovers again !!!

Honestly with all the hype surrounding Crosby I was concerned and they do have decent size but... they are no where near a gilmer or navasota(15) the last 2 teams to knock us out of the playoffs

That was the worst call ever !!! We was tackled at the one and get a sideline interference call !!! Ref didn't make contact with a player or coach ... no warning just 15 yards back ... another IF that would have changed the outcome

I walked out to parking lot with several Crosby fans in their words we gift wrapped the win for them with our turnovers they said they were shocked at all the athletes we had for such a small school... fact is because of our location we don't get the publicity that they do

Jasper fumbled the opening kickoff Crosby takes over on the 5 and scored .. next possession we fumble 2nd play from scrimmage Crosby punches it in from the 8 .. 13-0.. 2 minutes into the game... Crosby scored just about all their points as a result of a short field... I was proud of our Defense tonight!!! Offense has to hold onto the football

Based off the jasper scrimmage newton is down from last year. Maybe it's the loss of coach Barbay. But either way they are not as good as the previous few years.

Well after getting knocked outta the playoffs the last two years in the 3rd round by spread teams Navasota and Gilmer I'm looking forward to facing Crosby's offense

I agree to a certain extent but in jasper our freshman team is all freshman our JV is all soph varsity is all the Jr and Sr... except we have about 6 soph pulled up on varsity including one of our starting RB's... when you pull that many soph away from a small school team that really hurts cause a lot of kids have to go both ways...honestly I'm shocked at the JV outcome... it appears both offense's moved the ball which is a good sign for tomorrow night I think

Wow !!! Thanks fishcat.. i didn't see this coming especially after we helping our Louisiana neighbors with pulling half the freshman and JV players out in order to give merryville a game tonight... I figured a school that was twice our size would show up more in the underclass games.. guess them dogs are in good shape!! Ready for Friday night lights

14.2 you keep referring to our O-line but it's right in line with Crosby's... your line runs 230-240 that's not big on any level

The size difference in schools will show up more on the jv and freshman level than the varsity level

Ok what I've learned as of Wednesday of game week... Crosby has a whole lot of haters in east texas... I guess since jasper isn't in 5a we don't know the back story... my hope is that Crosby is as good as the hype.. this should be a good measurement of how far our defense has come since Gilmer put it on us.. if it becomes a shoot out then we're in trouble.. I think our big unknown is our defensive line Crosby will be bigger and stronger hopefully we will be quicker and can get pressure on the QB.. the other unknown is our new OC Barbay I know everyone is excited to have him here in jasper and I'm really looking forward to watching his offense.. I know the kids are having fun and learning more everyday and have nothing but respect for their coaches

Maybe the jasper coaches will bring up some JV players in case we hand them another 70 point beat down... after watching the Crosby highlight film cougar 14.2 is definitely a homer!!! They for sure ain't all that !!!

Simple .. our DB's were young and our kids learned a lot from the Gilmer game... our DC will have a good scheme for Crosby
