Well it was awesome title to have, sadful and shameful it’s going away

Well after last weeks performance against Nederland, I don’t think we could have expected anything other than what happened against a good LaVega team

that’s unreal! I had no idea. Blows me completely away. All our athletic programs used to be so competitive. Sad situation how things have gotten so low.

According to maxpreps? The last win was 9/3/21... 4 years 2 days
I guess I’m late to the table, but I just now realized what y’all may be talking about. Is that the volleyball team that hasn’t won a game (until last week) since 2021?
-
I guess with the Stangs losing and Southlake Carroll winning last night they shaved some more off the narrow lead that WOS had. Hate to be a pessimist but with the schedule ahead of them I’d say by the time district gets here WOS won’t be the leader anymore

No doubt he was down when he fumbled

WOS definitely needs improving thier downfield passing game, and the receivers need to catch the ball
-
Nedelrjand with 3 sacks already

Thanks. Just bought mine.
still not used to these online tickets. I realize it’s more convenient for folks cause you can buy anytime but I miss going to the athletic office to buy them. Always ran into others there that I only would know from going to the games and we’d get the chance to talk about the past weeks game and the upcoming one. Plus you never knew when you’d run into one of the coaches and get to have a little conversation with him. It was just more personal back then.

This. WOS can get back in this and if they can pull out the win, should be a big confidence boost going forward

Take away the fumble return and the big pass play from Newton and we got an even ball game

The taco truck on MacArthur next to Papa Johns is a hidden gem. I always get 4 carne asada tacos, which come topped with raw onions and cilantro. They also come with a side of charro beans, and a pile of grilled onions and a whole grilled jalapeno.
That sounds pretty good, but also sounds like heartburn city lol

I know of about 4 former WOS players that are assistant coaches, one was a player back in the SC runs in the 80s and has been an assistant at WOS for a very long time, another was on the 2000 state finalist team. So they should know what all made up “The Mustang Way”. Plus Hickman was an assistant under CT for about 5 years so he should have knowledge of how practice and drills were run. I’m going into this season with an open mind, they have a clean slate to start over without the meddling of the previous superintendent. The real victims of that social experiment were the kids that played the last 3 years.
Back to WOS- Newton, I’m taking WOS in a physical slugfest 20-12

2 ways to view this
Riley Dodge has led his team in at least 14 games each season as HC. His worst season only had 2 losses.
SLC 12-2 > .7859 (+.0026)
WOS 5-6 > .7833
Now lets look at the predictions. SLC is picked to win 1st championship since 2011. WOS isn't picked to get to the regional final game. Hickman's best season was last year at 9-3.
SLC 16-0 > .7889 (+.0001)
WOS 9-3 > .7888
1 loss by SLC keeps us ahead. But 4 losses by WOS and it's over. Once we fall to 2nd there will be no catching up unless miraculous transformation at both schools. Seeing that one changed everything and the other kept all the same traditions. Well, you can connect the dots.

Thanks for the explanation. Let’s hope for the best.

WOSdrummer can probably answer this but what’s it looking like as far as Southlake Carroll overtaking the Stangs this year as the all time winning program? I know they’re snapping at the Mustangs heels .

I'll be on the sidelines for this one. Looking forward to a great game.
Now, where to have my pregame meal is the question. lol
Cove Harbor marina. Not sure what the special will be on Friday but it will be good. Can always have a pizza and a beer overlooking the bayou.

I’ll be at this one. Hearing the Mustang defense will be back to its old ways. Guess we shall see.
