I'll call it that too.  I'm just picking with Yeoj.  He's personally told me his disgust in the name and that he will make up a name for it.

I'm none biased and I have a great name for it. How's this....

    "The Aluminum Bowl"

Has a ring to it, doesn't it?  Lol

  2. IMO I think ppl are looking at this as the "glass is half empty" whereas if the snaps are the only major problem as of yet, they should be seeing it as the "glass is half full." Let me explain. We have a QB that CAN get the ball downfield, the line has only allowed 1 maybe 2 sacks, we now have 2 deep threat WRs (#2 and #20), a possession WR (#89), plus 3 good RBs (#21, #25 #5) we'll be just fine.

We have 5 kids who do not want to play. The parents force them. We play them all thru the game but they will pull themselves out. It is really a mess. Three of those kids are supposed to be in flag this year but their parents forced them to play tackle. So I will have a kid crying on the field not wanting to be out there and a parent complaining their kid better get their 10 plays. So with what I thought was going to be a kneel down to end the game I had most of them in and that is not what happened. I agree coach up your weakest players but that is difficult to do when they did not want to be there and do not want to listen. We have a bunch of other kids on the team that require attention as well that want to be there and want to learn. Some teams have kids that sign up because they want to play football and love it and some teams like us have kids whose parents sign them up so they can see him in a jersey.

Got ya. In that case my advice is to sprinkle lil Johnny in EARLY in the game. So when it's crunch time you have no worries.

We literally had one parent call and ask if the kids got letter jackets at the end of the year

Say it ain't so, I know you're joking!

We (PNG-P) lost to WOS 19 to 6. We drive to the 20 with 1 minute left and turned it over on downs with it 13 to 6. Then they went hurry up to score again on our 10 play kids to make it 19 to 6.

That's why I believe all kids/teams should "coached up." Start with the weakest player and not the best player as some coaches do.(i'm not saying that this is what your team did, just speaking in general)

That was one of the best games of football I have ever seen a Pirate team play. Period. Four out of five times Memorial beats us but not that night. A Jeff Mathews masterpiece.

Oh definitely was a good game. My only dispute is the "wet field" which it was not.

I’m going with Vidor and the upset I think the grass field will win this game for the pirates remember when they beat that high powered P.A. Memorial team on that grass field a few years ago muddy grass field might I add.

That's a lie. The field was dry. PAM lost because of other things. Not because of field conditions.

No we played after them. PAB has it going on. Kids know where to line up. No chaos. Coach calls out extra point, seven kids ran on and seven off. PARed had their coach having to line up each lineman, tell the running back which way to run. Lots of coaching after breaking the huddle.

I  gotcha. I loved when my son played for that group of coaches last season. They KNEW their kids from the beginning of the season, they created a defensive/team identity that even the smallest kid bought into. The "Boom Squad" was created by coach "big stepper" (I believe that's you D5)

We have played PA Red and WB Gold our first two games. The knock on PA Red I saw was just no organization. Lots of mistakes. lots of talent but they can be beat due to self inflicted mistakes. WBG was good but ran a very basic offense. Trips left and right. Run behind trips with a few reverses mixed in. PA black will shut that down. Their defense is too much.

Just wondering, did you guys play PA Blk yesterday?

Or was it the fact they had self inflicted errors that you capitalized on? I mean I get the fumbling and weather being an issue but I thought possibly they had a decent defense too. Also they have have a play clock? Asking for a friend.

I think what coach means is, and I hate to even explain it because I know folks are going to jump all over it BUT...in this game there were two (IMO) questionable holding penalties that took away two TD's. The first was on the tackle,(mind you this is his first year EVER playing) he drove his man 15yds backwards arms weren't on the outside of the his man. The referee told coach "it's because he never let go." The second was on a WR that was blocking (in front of a side judge, and didn't throw a flag) but the head ref threw one.

Nope just about not following rules. You're missing the point. I'm sure if you take that kid off the team PA Red wouldn't lose a step. Not about that.

I totally get the point of the whole situation. My point is this, if a person doesn't know what's going on, ASK!  Don't get on the internet behind the keyboard OR sneak up to the school and take pics of people's kids. There's a problem that nobody "outside PA" is willing to discuss. See coach is good, I would've had the school renamed "Eddie L Anderson Elementary School" had some stalker lady took pics of mine. It's also says a lot about the safety and security of that school. Oh and Heaven forbid it was a teacher. See with that stunt, folks made it more than FOOTBALL.

He DOES NOT have a waiver. I verified with NYFA president who is also on the ethics committee. I was told he was the only one who thinks it's a big deal. The rest just want to sweep it under the rug.

Someone said maybe in another thread, that all you cryers, whining, "cheat card" users  are afraid of them. Just take a look at yourselves. In all of "lil ole PA," you ADULTS made a whole thread about one kid. (9 maybe 10) This is outrageously ridiculous. You'd swear this kid was a senior at MHSthe way people are on here crying.

Must be a different thread because I dont see anything in here like you have stated. Does the PA JR team have legit waivers or not? If yes this is all a moot point unless other kids are being denied waivers..

You're right, it was the thread that he/she started.
