It was always Friday the app had it wrong. Franklin Freshman team is traveling to play Giddings JV on Thursday. JV will host Lampasas JV on Thursday.

Game has been moved to Franklin isd due to field issues in Henderson.

Franklin 16 La Vega 42 final… 5 lost fumbles and two scoop and scores…  21 point swing. Franklin will be okay just got to things to clean up.

Scoop and score for La Vega on 2nd play of the game is the difference. So far Franklin has two fumbles and both hurt. The 2nd one was when Franklin was driving in La Vega redzone

Freshman: Franklin 31 La Vega 24 final. Franklin freshman group has yet to lose a game.

JV: Franklin 33 La Vega 12 middle of 3rd when I left. Franklin JV was completely dominating the game despite multiple fumbles in the first half.

Well apparently he was not just some other kid if he had d1 offers. PAM beat Houston Legacy on the last play of the game last season. The same Legacy that Franklin beat on the last play of the game as well. Just stating being at a bigger school doesn’t make you better. I seen kids drop from 6a to 3a and couldn’t do anything.

In 2021 Franklin had 6 d1 players on the team and multiple d2 players as well… Columbus in 2024 had multiple d1 players as well. Those teams would easily beat 6a schools.

I watched Tomball vs Cedar Hill a few years back in a round 3 match up. I could not believe how bad both teams were in the mighty 6a.

Had a coach come out the press box in Gupton Stadium back in 2021 round 2 game that said Franklin was the best team he had seen play at that stadium that year regardless of classification.

You would be surprised how bad some 6a schools really are.

Your drunk and don’t watch enough football outside of bellville if you don’t think top 3a school could play with some 6a schools. Of course you will have the top 6a schools that no 3a would touch like NS and Dville etc. But Franklin would dog walk teams like Bryan High.

Don't agree with the " he will be a stand out at the 3a level" if you can play you can play. Top 3a schools could play with 6a schools. #1 team in 6a has studs that moved in from 3a schools. Waco University stud RB couple years ago came from Mart.

Franklin averages around 100 kids year to year in the program. Freshman, JV, and Varsity have about 30-35 kids each. Our senior class is smaller this year then they have been.

They also are playing #10 Waco Robinson the following game after Newton. Tough schedule to the them ready for district play.

La Vega will travel to open the season at Franklin this season to start Friday night lights.

La Vega brings back a good number of players from last year's team. They bring back 8/9 and come in ranked #3 in 4ad2.

Franklin graduated 35 seniors and will be pretty young coming into the season. Franklin brings back 5-5 and comes in ranked #4 in 3ad1.

La Vega is travel for the first 8 games this season due to stadium renovations.

I believe this is the first time these two schools have played each other.

Newton scores then got the 2pt… Franklin next possession was a strip fumble returned for td to make it a 14 point game
