Has anyone watched this Newton v Daingerfield highlight? Look at how violently Newton tackles. It is beautiful.

Well put, “potentially/probably”.  Even that’s not a sure thing.  No question, they’re to hail & gone from 3AD2.
There’s one record for me I doubt will be broken.  On Smoaky, this game has 77 pages.  May not be a real record, but I never seen anything like it.
 

I  would want a real good team . Sure would not be Newton. They have only won 23 games in a row and 35 out of the last 36 games.

I’m going to go ahead and shut this thread down now.  
 
We aren’t going to allow rumors spread on this site, especially that affect people’s jobs and livelihood.  When jobs come open officially, you are more than welcome to start a thread and post away.

You don't seem to get it. WOS this year, is probably the weakest most inexperienced team they have had in the past 5 years. Hanging with Crosby for 3 quarters was good! Now if you take the "past" 3 teams WOS has had and matched them with Crosby, PAM etc... this wouldn't even be a topic of discussion. The numbers didn't catch up to WOS...the inexperience did. The only team I think that would handle Newton is SETX this year...only this year is WB.
and on a side note...how old are you people? Does anyone on here remember WOS going toe to toe with WB over the years and winning their fair share? Or did everyone forget that? So if the numbers didn't matter then, why do they matter now? People get so caught up with how many jerseys are standing on the sideline. No coach goes three deep in a game at any one position...No coach! And in a tight game you may go 2 deep every now and then but very selectively. Just because you have 60 suited out doesn't mean all 60 play...geez.
 

Ernie Holmes from Wiergate, Texas. No.63 ,anchored the middle of the steel curtain for the Pittsburgh  Steelers. The high school was in Wiergate before moving the school down the road about 2 miles to Burkeville.

I would like to thank WOS,Silsbee,Gilmer, and especially KIRBYVILLE , they all stepped up to play Newton this year, so guess we’ll never know about the rest!!

Strength ..offense/defense loaded with athletes great coaching staff.
Weakness .. having to wait a week before playing again. 
 

I don't understand how people are bashing the coaching, or even these kids from WOS. This coaching staff has taken this program to 4 consecutive state championship games. 
You all are over reacting to this WOS team. Yes, they are young but at the same time, they are playing a brutal schedule.. The schedule that coach T prepared will have this young group ready to make a run.  When you play a tough schedule kids grow up. WOS is going to grow from this. Fans need to stop over reacting. WOS will dominate the district and make a huge run. 
 

This team is special and I hope all Newton fans soak it up because its probably a once in a lifetime occurrence of having so much talent on a Newton team. We have witnessed good teams over the years but none with this many talented athletes. In the past we would enter games knowing we were good but not sure if we would leave with a victory. We had tough battles and usually won most of them. Won 4 State Championships and had the opportunity for more. This team is different.  This team is Special. They take away almost all the doubt of not winning. This Newton team is set on kill. They are programmed to win and leave no room for doubt. Last years team was almost the same but we as fans didn't realize our potential or what was in our corner. Our coaching staff is great. They have developed and placed talent in proper place. They have created a football machine that is pound for pound the best in the nation and State of Texas in their 3A division . One that can step from their divisions and conquer many upper divisions. I have heard about how bad WOS is, how young they are and how they are blah,blah. The one thing I have not heard is that maybe just maybe their losses were to good quality teams and they aren’t nearly as bad as all the nay sayers think. You can talk about all the past teams  you want to but they are gone, never to set foot on the field again. You have had some exceptional teams, they are gone. It is time to get behind the team you have now. They are not as bad as you think.

Well since I’m a WO-S grad I’m pulling for my Stangs, but I realize it will be a tough one to pull out. I just hope both teams get through it injury free and once it’s over ready to move on to the next game.  I do think whatever the outcome it will help both on the long run and that’s what matters most.
