Saw a post today and got me to thinking.... Dangerous activity for those that know me.

I am curious to know the current tenures of our High School Baseball Coaches.

In today's volatile coaching carousel, jmo, I find it amazing if a school retains their coaches for any significant amount of time.

Please try and not repeat any prior submissions if they are accurate.

So, if I could ask for the help of one of the admins who monitor this forum to help compile the responses I would be grateful.

In closing I would like to offer Coach Griffith some recognition. I have played against your teams, watched your teams and even umpired your team games.

thats great...maybe send him down to the Athletes center in Port Neches or out to the new facility by ford park...many guys in the area that would be glad to help train a guy like that...best of luck to him this year.

Freezing temperatures tomorrow and a 20+ mph North wind.  Oh, and 60-70% coverage of rain in the area.  Other than that, should be a great day for baseball. 

Monsignor Kelly Catholic HS Senior Shortstop Ford Proctor was named the Houston5ABaseball.com Hitter of the Week for the first week of the season.  In 4 tournament games, the Rice University-commit batted .642 with 4 doubles, 2 triples, and 1 home run.  He also scored 9 runs, while driving in 10.  Congratulations!

WOS has some returners that should make a difference in how they end up in district. Riding on the arms of the Anderson twins and the solid play from PR and JD in the infield they should make it competitive, if they don't make a legit run then the problem lies elsewhere! JMO   I see BC and LCM taking the two top spots. Things always get interesting when you start facing better pitching in District.

If you wasn't there, u miss a great high school baseball game. LCM jump out to a 6-0 lead in the game. Wos didn't fold & fought there way back into it only to lose by 1 run. Congrats to LCM on the win! Between LCM, WOS, & BC it's gonna be some great games played when district heats up!

Because you're one of the best in the area. Why does it matter anyway?

Objective is to put the best players on the team correct? So class shouldn't matter! If 2 freshman are getting looks on varsity it must be for a reason. Let them compete and make the coaches decision hard. If they don't get there this year, at least they made the upperclassman understand nothing will be given to them and they had to compete to earn their spot. Long run it will all make the TEAM better!!
