  1. West Hardin is playing in Kountze tomorrow night at 6:00 PM.
  2. Sanchez looks promising at 155. Wonder who they give him next!
  3. Is there any Track & Field websites that local schools use for stats?
  4. West Hardin on March 5th.
  5. Congrats to the Oilers!!! The game was pretty good in the first half, WH was only up by 5. Second half the Oilers turned on the heat. Tonight was probably the best TEAM effort I've seen them play in. The refs called a fair game in my opinion, just didn't call enough fouls was their doings tonight. Both teams were getting away with a lot of fouls, thus making it a very physical game. I felt bad for HI's #23, he got landed on twice and something happened to his thigh just before halftime. The only thing I'm disappointed in is an incident that happened in the 4th period. HI's #23 took the ball away from WH's #23 and then threw it back in his face, very unsportsman like. Some words were exchanged and somehow our coach was ejected along with #23 & #24, as well as HI's coach & #23. After that mess was cleared up the remaining players all shook hands before continuing the game. Copeland had his usual outstanding game, but I'd like to commend #25 John Glenn Harrington on his game. He had 15 points, 10 rebounds, 2 steals & 2 tipped passes. #3 Lamberth had his usual good game and we'll look forward to having him lead the team next year as a senior. West Hardin is only losing two seniors; Tyler Copeland & Justin Poor. WH HI 1st 20 15 2nd 33 27 3rd 46 37 4th 64 41 Last tidbit, Copeland swished a 3 pointer from just under the half court line at the buzzer to end the game. Didn't need to do it, but hey what the heck it his last basketball game.
  6. Spurger at West Hardin game will be at 6:00 PM this Friday. There will be no JV or girls games!!! Go Oilers!!!
  7. Every HOME team crowd is loud, disrespectful & nerve racking in the visiting teams opinion. That's why their the home teams' fans; to give their players the edge. So far, so far... the only people I've seen being too over board at a West Hardin game is two fans for Houston Heights team & one from Hull-Daisetta. All three were asked to leave by the refs, not West Hardin's staff. Based off of your post above that I've quoted for you, what has West Hardin done that is so bad or any different than any other schools home games??? Also, for anyone that is interested in this Fridays game, it will start at 6:00PM. Spurger does not have a JV team & West Hardin's girls are not playing. Hope to see all our "loud, disrespectful & nerve racking" fans there!!! Go Oilers!!!
  8. How do ties get broken to determine who goes to the playoffs? Say there is only one spot left. Use this senario: Team Record Head-to-Head Alpha 5-5 1-1 Bravo 5-5 1-1 Charlie 5-5 1-1 Yes, it's a possible senario for 25-1A.
  9. You tell'em Herman!!!!! HAHAHAHA ;D ;D ;D ;D
  10. West Hardin needs to win these last two games for any shot at the playoffs. Bad news is we have to beat a hot Spurger team, then we need some help from Evadale this Friday. Next Tuesday, both Evadale and HD need to lose. If we can keep the fans loud and the players pumped from last nights win over HD; we should be ok! Taking my Oilers at home by 3!!!
  11. I'm looking for Evadale to win at home in a close one! Maybe by 4 points!
  12. Or, best case senario... West Hardin beats Spurger and then High Island both in WH, Evadale beats HD Friday & then both Evadale and HD lose next Tuesday!!! ;D ;D ;D
  13. Who do you like in this one???
  14. Great Job Sharks, isn't that 3 overtime games this year?!? They know how to close a game when it's needed. Congrats
  15. Great job Oilers and your win tonight!!! The Oilers hung in there pretty good when Copeland got into foul trouble early, they were playing a little better team ball. #3 Lamberth stepped up and made some buckets at key times, #4 Miller had 4 monster blocks in the 3rd period, #25 Harrington got into foul trouble early along with Copeland but still had an outstanding defensive game with 9 rebounds and 4 steals, #23 & #24 Poor brothers had their fair share of steals, #13 Werner made the most of his playing time and #5 Copeland did what he does best. WH HD 1st 12 6 2nd 27 18 3rd 34 23 4th 50 34
  16. Any thoughts or comments?
  17. Here is the website that local schools use to post Powerlifting results! www.thspa.us ;D ;D ;D
  18. What a wonderful way to celebrate your victory; trashing on the other team! Classy!!! Obviously, Copeland is our best player. People fail to mention that we have some pretty good defensive players that don't get the same hype as all the flashy scoring players in our district. If Sabine Pass would not have been so good at the line, maybe the game would have been the other way around. Great job by the Sharks to finish the game in overtime. As I've said in other posts; I only keep stats for my boys, but here are the quarter scores from last night: 1st WH-7 --- SP-15 2nd WH-26 --- SP-24 3rd WH-36 --- SP-34 4th WH-48 --- SP-48 OT WH-49 --- SP-56 Last thought... would it be that bad to give positive feedback to players, coaches & fans after a game? I definately believe in trash talking before hand, it makes for a great game builder. Just show that your capable of good sportsmanship. Keep your heads up Oilers, that was a great game last night!
  19. Any idea when Spurgers' George will return? I'm taking H-D by 5. Hold down Blankenship and they'll be ok if not, bad news for the Bobcats.
  20. I'm looking for the Oilers to get this win by 3. After that low scoring defensive game vs Evadale our boys are ready for a fast paced, high scoring game! Good Luck to both teams, but GO OILERS!!!!
  21. I'm taking my Oilers in a close one!! If they can win this last road game, then they'll be set up for a good 3 game home stretch! Good luck boys!!!
