It was a great defensive game in the first half with a lot of steals and blocked shots. Halftime the score was 15-10 WH lead. Evadale stayed with their full court press all game and it worked for the most part. The refs called a pretty descent game for only having 2 there. 2 or 3 Evadale players fouled out in the last 2 minutes of the game. I'm not sure on how many points Copeland had or anyone else on the team except my boy. I think we had 6 or 7 traveling calls on us due to their press. Hard fought game by both teams, each one needed a win in a bad way! Way to go Oilers!!!

I sure hope that the home tradition continues because WH can use it. We got a tough Evadale at home on Tuesday then our last away game against Sabine Pass, then wrap up with a 3 game home stint. I was unable to make it to the High Island game, but I heard that the refs were terrible for both teams. My buddy said it looked more like a backyard pick up game than one with officials, lots of fouls that didn't get called on either side. I know the usual grip is that the home team gets the advantage, not this game. Congrats High Island!!! Come Oilers, time to get in gear!!!

Both teams were in foul trouble early, so good and some bad! The so called charge foul against Lambeth was talked about between the 3 refs and the right call was made. Even if it wasn't overturned WH would have still won by 1 point. Sabine Pass played a great game, all those 3 pointers at the end were extremely scary. I'm looking forward to the rematch in Sabine Pass or wherever ya'll are playing. Great Game all around, congrats West Hardin!

West Hardin just beat them 81-49 and we lost to Spurger. Spurger should hand those kids their rears!

This was a good game for West Hardin to finish up with before going into district play, our players did a real good job last night! We do have one more game left though; Houston Heights is coming to West Hardin on the 13th, then we travel to Evadale to kick off district play on the 16th. Go Oilers!!!!

All I've heard from my son so far is West Hardin is playing at 1:30 & 6:00 now, not what's listed above.

Dont know much about K-Ville unless we talk football. I dont think that they will be very good just now coming out of football, so if WH shows up and plays how they have as of late they can get a WIN. I guess that's the case with every school that plays football. It took a few games to knock of the rust for West Hardin as well.

Lets hear what you've got to say. West Hardin is playing much much better as of late. I don't know anything about Kirbyville's team, anybody got anything???

It was a pretty close game in the first half, then West Hardin pulled away in the second. I was impressed/glad to see they fix their turnover problems that plagued them early on. They still had some TO's, but nothing like the 1st couple of games. Very happy to see them play as a team instead of 5 individuals. Great job Oilers!!! Keep it up. Only negitive thing I'll say is that the officials need to be more consistant with their calls. They made good & bad calls for both teams, one team would get a foul for charging and the other wouldn't. Then, it would go the other way on some other call.

I'm not down playing Copelands play ability at all, but the whole team needs to protect the ball a lot better and all 5 players on the court need to play as one team & not 5 individuals. Just a thought!!

Can someone please tell me where the Kirbyville & Spurger High Basketball teams play? I know how to get to Spurger & to Kirbyville; I just don't know where the schools are. Thanks!

Way I understand from this game is both teams played terrible until the 4th. From what I've seen so far, which isn't much, too many bad passes are being turned over. I think we've done alright in rebounds, just have to stop or slow down the turnovers.
