It will be in Evadale. Well, this is it for the Oilers! No more so called easy games for the next two weeks, Evadale was favored to win district by several people, this could determine the Champs for 23-1A. Go Oilers!!! West Hardin 35 --- Evadale 21

This shouldn't even be a topic, but never, never, never look past any opponent. The minute you do, BAM; your hit with an upset loss. I believe the oilers should win by 40, but like in the past few games, Sabine Pass could end up getting a late score or two against the freshman second string. That may even prove too tough, looking at how well the freshman are doing with their short amount of playing time. Go Oilers!!!

First, my hats off to the Cardinals players and coachs. Final was 36-22. Copeland hit Miller for 2 TD passes early on. As the game progressed Copeland ran in 3 more TD's himself. Props to the WH defense to holding the Cardinals to only 1 TD early on. Their second score came off of a kickoff return for TD. Then, their final score came with :45 left in the game, against the freshman backups. Good job by all players and coachs. Good luck to the Cardinals next week against Evadale.

Went to WB in early 90's, very proud of the job that Coach Stump and the Bruins are doing this year. Love it that the hurricane delay is over and football is back. W.B. 55 --- Lee 7 Brook is too strong, just don't ever look past any team.

Most predictions were pretty close on this one. Only the 1st TD for Colmesneil was against 3/4 of WH's starters. Good job Oilers!!!

West Hardin dominated the 1st half with the score 34-0 at halftime. Copeland, Dorion & Jones were pretty much unstoppable on offense and J.G. Harrington had 8 tackles, 2 QB hurries & forced a fumble. Colmesneil made some good adjustments during halftime and stopped the Oilers to their 1st 3 & out at the beginning of the 3rd quarter. West Hardin was too much offense for them to contain and quickly scored 2 more TD's making it 47-7. With about 4 minutes left in the 3rd; Westfall called off the dogs and started putting in the second string players, in which Colmesneil scored their 2nd TD. Finally, in at the end of the 4th quarter, Colmesneil scored their last TD against 10 freshmen and 2 sophmores. I tip my hat to the players at Colmesneil for the sportsmanship, even in defeat they didn't resort to cheap shots or revenge tactics. Well done athletes, keep your chins high. Go Oilers!!!!!!!!!

Outstanding post H-D Bobcat 55! I'm still a newbie to this forum, but I was seriously thinking that everyone on here was some kind of punk kids. Nothing better to do than start sh!$ with everyone. Truely inspiring to read, small town schools are great and definately a treat to watch, even if it isn't your favorite or a rival. I totally agree 100 percent! With a 3 week lay off, I think they did alright. As the games continue, so will their play. In my opinion, this was week 1 of the season.

As for you there is no way Evadale or especially West Hardin plays a close game with the H-D Bobcats. You must have not seen H-D play. We will be way to much for Evadale and West Hardin. Hey, no need to get your panties all in a knot. No I didn't see H-D play and I won't until the West Hardin game. All I can say is we'll see after this Friday and then on Nov 7th.

I'm thinking this game will be decided by 7 points or less. No idea who wins, but should be an entertaining game. Good luck to both schools!

No doubt! Our boys didn't look too good against Warren, but I was impressed with progress last night in Chester. I don't want to look past anyone, but I'm ready to watch WH play Evadale & H-D. There are a lot of people that think real high of them, but we'll have to see in a few weeks. Go Oilers!!!!!!

Nice post Workhorse!!! I was there too and Chester's offense is tricky to defend. West Hardin made good adjustments at halftime and only allowed one score in the second half. Chester made a good effort in the game, but they were definately over matched. Not too bad for the Oilers not having a game since week 1 vs Warren. Stupid Hurricanes!!!!

Wonder what happens if you lose to West Hardin???? Don't say it wont happen, anything is possible with football. I hear the Oilers looked pretty good in Chester. Evadale, Daisetta & West Hardin all scored over 40 points in their games. I hope that these games live up to the hype.

There is in fact a horsecollar penalty in HS football. There was one called last night in the West Hardin/Chester game; 15 yard worth.
