You can't say take away this or that and it would've been 28-28 because you don't know what would've happened when Texas had the ball on those offensive series.
-
Better go with heard early and give locksley a look too. But then again, they might burn the shirt.
-
Swoopes still starting this week against Rice. Is Strong wanting to be fired or what?
-
Bottom line is the head coach and his coordinators did not and have not put their team in position to at least be competitive. There is still no offensive plan whatsoever. I figured they at least knew how to use various formations to make the defense adjust...which I haven't seen in the last 14 games. If we line up like this, the defense has to do this, and we can do this. I'm not even going to tackle the defensive side of the ball. Maybe that was the wrong term to use seeing there were very few tackles made by Texas. What the heck did they do all off-season. Oh well. It's not like anything is going to change anytime soon.

I don't think I can take another year of the S-O-S!!!! But appears I will.
-
It's bad when it's 1st and 10 and the call goes out for the punt team to get ready.
-
We're stuck with swoopes now. Heard shaken up on his 1st carry. KRAP!!!
-
I'm not real sure Watson or Bedford have a clue on either side of the ball what's going on.
-
Maybe David Letterman can toss the coin when aggie plays ball state.
-
Catalon had a hamstring injury I believe. No reason for him to have burned his shirt. D'onta Foreman looked good yesterday. Appears he put on weight/muscle. Now if Texas uses these 2 kids, that's another story. What are they going to do with the big RB they have coming in this summer?
-
If what I saw yesterday was Texas idea of a spread offense, well, it's gonna be another long year. Yes I know it was just a glorified scrimmage, but give me a break. The Horns spread the field, but ran the same ol same. As far as I know, that's not a spread offense. The rhetoric of both qb's will play is total bs. We know what swoopes can or cannot do, mostly cannot against quality opponents. If Heard isn't starting soon after the season begins, he needs to bid Texas farewell. My bad, what was I thinking, 2016 is our year. Never mind!!

Guess the great coach briles stays on top with that schedule.
-
I'd take 6-6 right now!!!
-
If #wrts Sumlin and the aggies don't win at least 9 this coming season with the schedule they have, something is wrong.

A good number of recruits will go to a school because of tradition and love for that school. There are also those that choose a program because of the coach and his staff. Case in point, Charlie Strong and the kids he has brought to Texas. From the kids he was able to flip, to others outside the state of Texas, there can be no arguement that he has done a remarkable job recruiting in his 1st full year at The University.

Not mad just making an observation. I read lots of posts by fans on numerous college football sites. It's just interesting when a recruit goes against the grain a bit by considering another school, how fast some fans turn against him. But now that he's back in the fold, it's all good. These kids make their decisions based on what's best for them. Nothing wrong with that.

Funny all the dislike thrown Daylon Mack's way on texags when he visited elsewhere. Now that he's signed, it's all good once again.
-
You can't fit a square peg in a round hole. That might explain why Heard supposedly looked worse than Swoopes. He definitely did not fit what offensive plan the Horns had last season..whatever that was. How good of a qb was Vince at Texas before Mack realized he had to turn him loose and do his thing? Heard will be just fine.

After last night, the Patriots might cast a ballot or two for Pete Carroll as their MVP!!
-
This is not an overnight fix. How many along the way have turned a bind eye to what's been going on for a good while now. I hope he's able to get the help he needs.
-
JJ Watt NOT the MVP? Holy cow!! What's the guy hafta do?
-
You're probably right about wining if the defense improves that much. Hopefully the horns will find something that resembles an offense so their defense doesn't wear out in crunch time.

What happens when Chavis isn't the Almighty Saviour A&M believes he is?
-
Sheffield would be a nice addition for A&M. There might be a whole lotta flippin going on if that happens.

Sumlin has no excuses not to win week in and week out now. I'm kinda wondering 'if' he can do that with 'his' own recruits. A good number of wins at UH and aTm were because of his predecessors. We shall see in 3 or so years how the recruits of 2015 pan out for the aggies and horns. Should be interesting!
