They have three other FCS level football schools in the metro area (Norfolk State, Hampton U. and William and Mary) and two Division III (Christopher Newport and Newport News Apprentice). Norfolk State which is between five to ten miles down the road from ODU and when I was last over there in 07 they were wanting to make a annual game between ODU and NSU for a inter city rivalry game. I think if the ticket prices are right the first seasons games should be sellouts at LU.

Was looking on one of TCU's fourm sites killerfrogs.com and they think TCU playing Lamar is a big joke to them

He dropped out of school to go to college!!!! not drop out to try and play for some independent league team. Yeah his dad is useing his son as his personal meal ticket and prob live in his sons house and off his money when he quits his job after he gets drafted but the worst case scenario is the kid does not get drafted and gets a college degree!!

A preseason poll is all hype they are based on what the team did the year before and who they have coming back and what they think they will do. There are prob 3 or 4 teams on this list that wont be on it a few weeks into the season.

The combined attendance for game 1 and game 2 of the Calallen and Moody series was 17,905 and they are expecting another 9,000 at todays game at Whataburger Field.

In my opinion it does but you have to hit it right or it will just pop up on you. I play on a team that is in somewhat of a league with teams from Jasper, Newton and Tyler counties that play just about every weekend

I cant make a prediction on any class except 4-A and that will come down to who ever wins region 4 out of CC Moody and CC Calallan. Both of those teams are beast and it should be a exciting series when they meet mainly cause the schools are not but maybe five to ten miles apart.
