The question I have is when is the girls atheletic period during the school day and how long is it? if the time slot for their atheletic period is in the morning then lifting weights before lunch will have no effect on shooting after school. If the time slot for the atheletic period is only 50 min then you are only getting about a 30 min workout or practice anyway.

I would assume that because PNG was playing about 10 miles away at the same time for both games that had alot to do with the attendance of the last 2 games. If I was lamar I would think about scheduling all your home games before HS playoffs start and play last 2 games on the road but that is just me.
didnt rain a drop at the game..dont hear Aggies, gators, wolverines complaining about the weather you cant outdraw westbrook and central , you aint ready for FBS
I know it did not rain at the South Dakota game because I was there freezing with the other fans that did show up. It had rained earlier in the day that is why I said it rained most of the day not during the game!!!!!! -

I believe that Texas St. & UTSA will NOT count as conference games since they are leaving the conference. I KNOW that they will not be eligible for the play-offs.
If Lamar accepts an invite to the WAC then they'll be in the same boat as Texas State and UTSA.
works for me

WAC might replace Hawaii with Texas school

I do not go to a Lamar game to see Idaho or ULL I go to see Lamar. I don't care if Lamar is playing as the president of Ohio St. would say the sisters of the poor. I am just happy Lamar has football!! I will worry about conferences later down the road -

Lamar travel WAC vs Sun Belt WAC Idaho = 2,233 miles San Jose St = 1,968 Utah St. = 1,615 New Mexico St. = 872 La Tech = 234 Tx St. = 250 UTSA = 281 Denver (Basketball) = 1,083 Sacramento St. (Baseball) = 2,019 Football only travel = 7453 Total = 10,555 Sun Belt FIU = 1,114 FAU = 1,074 Western Kentucky = 839 MTSU = 780 Troy = 556 Arkansas St. = 543 UALR (all sports but football) = 407 USA = 383 UNT = 336 ULM = 248 ULL = 137 Football only travel = 6,010 total = 6,417 miles Football there is not that big of a difference but you do not travel to each school every year. the non revenue sports have to do some travel in the WAC. -
oh what the H...i'll jump on the WAC Wagon...whoo hoo..bring on those natural rivals....utah, idaho, new mex... ..lets jump into the worst attended FBS conference, which..by adding Tx st...can only go down...I'm all for it...y'all have convinced me...lets jump just to jump.. Notre Dame will come to Beaumont...Lamar will save the dying WAC
How bout you get on the horn with Wright Waters and see what you can do for Lamar getting back into the Sun Belt!! Right now the SB only has 9 football playing members and will have 10 when USA football joins in 2013. IMO the Sun Belt might be waiting to see how the WAC pans out and then make a move if any. No where does it say the Sun Belt has to expand or invite Lamar. Who knows UALR might be discussing adding football and then the SB would only need one school for a 12 team conference. I would not care if Lamar went to the WAC or the Sun Belt but if Georgia State wants to move up They might have the upper hand on Lamar because they are right in the middle of the Sun Belt and that would be a bigger TV market in Atlanta than Beaumont. In both conferences Lamar would have to Travel. More to Moscaw for Idaho (2,233 miles) than Miami for FIU (1,114 miles) but either conference is better than the Southland as far as TV exposure goes. -
Buna and Woodville Co-4th place Champions Newton 3rd place and EC and Anahuac Co-District Champions thats just how it is, records decide the Champions and if there is a tie in records head to head matchup decides seeds!!!

first it's an argument for not moving up when Tx St and UTSA did and now it's an argument cause it could be the WAC???? What conference should Lamar join for all that do not want the WAC? Big 12, Big East, C-USA??? we could always go back to the Lone Star Conference!!!! -
So, where is Lamar going to play Arkansas? Are they going to play in Little Rock? Or perhaps in Jonesboro? It has to be on Arkansas turf - just ask Monroe about their home game... :D Waiting for you to own up to the fallacies of your previous statement... Perhaps Lamar can play Florida State in Miami, Fla. and call it a home game.... ;)
Heck I would go to Reliant to see Lamar host Texas or A&M and I do not care if they are in the WAC or Southland I am glad Lamar has football back and will go and support them whatever they decide to do. -

Does Lamar have an open invite to join the WAC?
Arrrrrgh, biting my wrist. It is that type of mentality for Lamar dropping football and dropping down to the Southland. Whoa is Lamar, we can never bring in anyone except Rice.... >:(
So if Lamar goes FBS we can expect the likes of USC, Texas, Notre Dame, Ohio State, LSU, Florida, Virginia Tech, BYU, Tennessee, Oregon, Auburn, Miami and Nebraska come into Beaumont? -
Playing FBS, Lamar should be able to get home games with such teams as Arkansas, Alabama, Oklahoma st, Baylor, Tulsa, Memphis, Louisville, Kansas st...etc
In my opinion I dont think Alabama would come to Beaumont. Arkansas is a coin flip I think, it would depend on where their program was at the time, but could see the rest of em making trips down -
Who is this Peyes Guy?

seems bout right to me. But I think it will be 1. Anahuac 6-1 2. East Chambers 6-1 3. Woodville 6-1 4. Newton 4-3 5. Buna 3-4 6. Hardin 2-5 7. Kountze 1-6 8. Warren 0-7 Not sure how the tie breaker will go
There will be comp, but I still expect JJ to win the spot. He has the spring and training camp to get the job done.
I agree, I think his dual threat capabilites will open up the offense and if the O-line improves I think Lamar puls out 6 wins.

I predict Lamar coming out and being wildly mediocre and Roc keeps his head up his and refuses to let the players play their game that will win a game because being an Athoritarian is more important than winning a game. Tulane 86 Lamar 43
