Just give the guy and team a chance, The team is young.  Last years team was full of seniors and college playing experience and this years team is not but that does not mean this team wont be good in the future.  Let Knight get his recruits in and his system installed and after a few years if they are still 2-12 to start the season then yeah step back and re-evaluate the situation but dang he took Coach Roc's team that under performed and made them a NCAA tournament team.  but I guess if a guy cant win in their first 60 games as a head coach they need to be let go and give another guy 60 games to prove himself.

I seriously doubt any HS team has 19 coaches strictly for Varsity football.  Most programs have 10-12 HS coaches and about 4 middle school coaches.  On friday nights all coaches are usually there so it looks like there are 14-16 coaches for varsity.  You do not need fancy stuff to win state titles, ask La Marque.  yes nice things might get you a few move ins but that does not mean a title, ask Carthage who just got beat by El Campo.  Just cause you have the means to pay a coach a lot of money does not mean you will get the best.  You will get good coaches that apply but tradition of a school is sometimes more attractive than money.

[/quote] Im just shedding light on how irresponsible people are and how people cant resist answering a text message or a phone call.  When the clock operator or book keeper effect the game's outcome or a players foul count/team foul count then it is a problem. But i guess you wouldn't know that cause your not a basketball fan. Whats sad is that people can't merely resist the phone for the length of a game or at least till halftime. I ve been a fan in the stands and i ve also have been a coach on the sideline.  and when your coaching and you notice the book keeper talking or texting on the phone while trying to keep up with the game, so is he/she cheating my players cause he/she is not focuse....thats a problem...  they re not focused on the job at hand.  and yes i have told them to put the phone down. from the way you sound....your one of those people who lives on there phone.  on the phone at the dinner table, on the phone during church, etc etc.  society is so fixated on instant information....  what would yall do without all those gadgets [/quote] Sadly I have to live on my Phone because of my Job Title.  Being an Athletic Admin I am always getting txt about students emails from upset parents and even phone calls from them.  My phone sits in the kitchen while im eatting in the other room and my phone stays in my truck at church cause IMO there is no need for it.  When I am Admin on Duty at basketball games they have there phones but only can check em or whatever they do in between qts and half time.  With that being said I still do not watch them during the game.  But our keepers are teachers volunteering their time and are very professional while on duty.

Whoever wins will most likely play El Campo.  I watched them play Somerset last night and they have a QB and RB that are good.  Not sure if QB can pass cause not much passing cause very high winds but he is not afraid to tuck it and run 100+ rush 1st half.  Their defense is sound and gets after the ball quick.
