That regional final game was crazy!! I remember that game like it was a few weeks ago. Buna got outscored 7-1 in the last 1:04 of the game and missed 4 or 5 free throws to ice the game in my opinion. 3 pointer with 1 second left then marks half court heave that barely missed.

Hutto will not beat Rouse. Hutto barley beat a bad Elgin Team(37-34) and equally as bad Eastview team(36-29) and let Bastrop(1-7) hang around until the 4th quarter before pulling away 28-12. Rouse beat a very good Georgetown team a few weeks ago 60-27. Rouse(2006) and Pflugerville Connally(1977) will go D1 and Cedar Park(1949) and Georgetown(1877) will go D2.

Following the model of the 1A-4A schools there are a few schools that get left on geographical islands. Assuming that the UIL splits the schools evenly that would leave San Angelo Lake View(Region 1) all alone with the closest 5AD2 opponent at Kerville Tivy(Region 4). Waco University, Bryan Rudder, Bastrop, Bastrop Cedar Creek, Elgin, Brenham and Tomball kind of all are to far apart to all be in the same district but where do they go?

I think it's a good hire. He was at Palastine then took over a bad Yorktown program and turned it into a playoff team over the 3 years he was there. I also believe he was in the running for the HJ job when Dubois was hired by them.

From these pics the reason for the ejection is because the runner is in fair territory making contact with fielder. 2 years ago a kountze runner made contact with fielder by putting hands up to lessen the force of contact when he realized they were going to make contact and runner was also ejected and reason given was because the contact happen in fair territory. But in this case you can tell the runner is bracing for impact with the fielder.

The 3 biggest surprises that stand out to me is this. Kountze 5-2 I thought this would be a down year for the lions with the loss of a lot of seniors off last years playoff team. Warren 3-4 I had the down for the DC but right now they are fighting for a playoff spot Anahuac 1-6 With what I saw from them last year I thought they were primed for a playoff spot this year

Who is right on what kid acted what way is irrelevant at this point. The game was played a winner and loser was decided. There is still a whole second half of district baseball to be played and these two teams will meet again in Buna with playoff seeding most likely on the line. I wish both Buna and Kountze the best of luck for the rest of the season and hope for a clean game the second go around and good playoff runs for both teams.

Forgive me if this has been mentioned already but what about WOS playing Alvin Shadow Creek? I saw where they need games for all weeks but 2 and 4 and I can't remember what week WOS needs a game

I was not there but if it is the same ump that I have had dealings with he cares more about what goes on in the dugout and stands than what happens on the playing field. The ump I had dealings with almost did not let a coach be apart of the game because he was wearing windpants during a first weekend 8am Saturday game.

I got one episode in last night and if not for work today would have probably stayed up all night watching it.

I am assuming that EC will beat Deweyville and Kountze will beat Kirbyville. That means EC and winner of Hardin/Buna would play each other for first and Kountze would play loser of Buna/Hardin for third place. Someone correct me if I am wrong on this.
