Congratulations to the 4A State Champions Silsbee Tigers, really proud of you...some teams never make it to the State Championship and you've been there 3 years in a row...hat's off to the team, coaches, and fans who really travel well. On to next year, who knows, might make it 4 in a row.

Had a guy ask me in Huntsville how many times has Silsbee been in state tournament...couldn't tell him, so i did some research... Tournament Appearances: 7 (1972, 76, 83, 2008, 10, 16, 17 and now 2018

Just made it back home from Huntsville....time to brag just a little bit....yesterday while sitting behind some Yates fans while they were playing Liberty Hill,i made a comment that Liberty Hill early in the game seems to be holding their own with Yates...the guy talked so much noise about how they want Silsbee soooo bad...i'll tell y'all what i told him....Be careful what you wish for....Great game Tigers... Kingwood Park High School.....I take Hwy 90 to Beltway 8...right on beltway (stay on feeder)...Right on W. Lake Houston Pky (22 miles)..left on Northpark Dr.....Right on Woodland Hills Dr.....got to make a U-turn....school on the left...1 hr. and 45 minutes from Silsbee,Tx.

I have a question about the Carthage/Silsbee matchup....Did we not play Carthage in Lufkin last year? Seems to me the Bulldogs are closer to Lufkin than Silsbee. (Why would we agree to play there again this year?) Google Maps says it's 69 miles from Carthage to Lufkin and 91 miles from Silsbee to Lufkin, that's not halfway.

Just a little research about Bay City....According to MaxPreps....#2..D. Davidson/1007 yds. passing/7TD's.........#4 J. Collins...5 TD'S receiving.....#6 C Janise...6 TD's receiving..... Also beleive the Tigers can win this game with a HEAVY dose of the running game.....Bay City defense doesn't seem to be that good against the run......guess we'll see firsthand come Friday....
