[/quote] They are, at least at this point in the year.  I don't know about tonight but I know in the game I saw they only really used maybe 9 or 10.  That starting five will outsize most teams but I also feel they have a little bit of vulnerability in there as well.

I bet they may be the district favorite not the teams that the attention has been placed upon!! ;) ;)

Yates is not unbeatable by local teams!!!! Takes a huge effort but they are not [b]as[/b] deep as they have been in the past!

HJ is putting another very good team on the floor as usual.  As an oponent you would definitely hope that hitting 10 3's in the first half isn't a regular accomplishment.  They are a little more than 2 good players as has been stated but one of their limitations appears to be depth.  It looked like they only played about 7 players for any significant time.  I know another one or two played a little but not much.  Hitting all those threes in the first half put Nederland behind the eight ball.  Their deliberate style of play isn't suited very well for quick scoring runs.  They will be fine they got beat by a team who played much better than they did tonight.

57-40 and it looks like another of those 4a district favorites us found down top one of those little 3a schools

They did not miss but a few.  You would think percentages would catch up some time.

I have heard that he  wants to have 15 on the varsity. With 8 coming from football, I can probably pick out 13 not quite sure who the other two will be.

Lets see according to the experts on this site, Central is supposed to be the best team in the area.  They beat Yates, yes it was summer ball. The Tigers just beat them with 5 or 6 of their top 9 out 10 players still playing football.  Yates must be getting very scared of these Tigers!  :o

Proudmom your son has played pretty well when I have seen him so far this year, but not sure I would say he is one of the two starters on the floor  right now. There are two starting right now that were starting for the Tigers last year.

Why,  because she is the parent of one who is playing.

Not talking anything away from Silsbee, but it's obvious Huffman has had an off night so far. [/quote] The problem for Huffman was the same one my Tigers faced last week,  speed on the defensive side.  Huffman had one player with enough speed to get open consistently, Gray.  The speed the Tigers have in the secondary pretty much limited Huffman's success through the air.
