Zeek, gave credit to Turner, just no way that those other 2 are the tops at their position.  When those statements are made it just is crazy.

I thought that Avery had really good game, he is aggressive inside.

After seeing both teams play I left the game with no idea how HJ pulled this one off.  Kountze has the best team by far, I don't see how they didn't win by 30.  I realize HJ has Turner but scoring wise not much else.  He must have had alot of steal and easy buckets that night which is his type of game.

I think all teams are going to be better by district just saying that I think you saw the formula for beating HJ last night.  Turner got his points off the press but when it got to half court set the others were very controlled as they have very difficult time creating their own shots.  I agree there is a good reson for them to be in the corner and when they were wide open they can knock down the shots, but otherwise they were completely shut down as they have to rush shots and are not as good of shooters.  Still don't agree on Ricossa, he's tall but they were ablt to muscle him out in the 2-3, wasnt until they went to the 1-2-2 and opened up middle that he was able to do anything.  But as you said, I am sure they will get better.

Silsbee looked really good, Prentice played really good

Turner is great off the press, not as good in half court set, even centrals coach was yelling that he cant shoot.  Then you have the 2 kids in the corner who stay there the entire game, do not move from their spot.  Ricossa is ok but not very strong, got some easy baskets last night but that was about it.  IF and I say if you can get by Turner on the press it is pretty easy after that.  Turner is going to be able to get his points off defensive transition but the others still can't create their own shot which is going to make it tough if Turner has off night.  Was curious as to why the Smith kid did not play until 2 minutes to go in the game.

Wish they would do this for all sports

Great defense tonight

We have the talent, just have to make sure that we play as a team. With such a deep senior class you would think that we would not have some of this crap but time will tell. Just depends on which team shows up on a given night.

Deepest group we have had in the last several years. Other than losing Angelle we have everyone coming back including our post who was out all last season due to a football injury. I still think that WOS is the biggest unknown as they looked to have a couple of shooters that have developed this summer. Overall I think every team has some questions, from outside shooting to the post each team will have its challenges. I think the district is wide open and the team that comes out on top is going to be the one that can protect home and steal a couple on the road. Predict a play in game for someone at the end.

They have no idea what this offense looks like, can't wait till Friday already.

Then it would come down to pts and OF would win that one easy.

Not sure it will depend on how many possessions that OF has. No one has been able to really stop this offense, some have contained it with 40 pts but don't see HJ being able to do anything with this.

I think we could have had 70 tonight had we not called the dogs off in the 3rd. I actually expect to score everytime we have the ball.

You must be passing all classes at progress report to be eligible if you failed the 6 weeks.

My motive was a discussion of how we felt about the rankings. Just because you sit in the front row at all the games does not make you an expert, just means you have good seats. Plyed on a state champion myself no greater feeling in the world. Played on greatest program in college ball as well. I can have an opinion even if it is different from yours. My problem is that you feel like if we don't agree with you then we must be a hater or moron. I always want someone from our district to be there but just as you accuse DV of putting down all the teams here so do you. I always root for OF but I also am a realist. You just make it very easy to get under your skin and you are never going to listen to another opinion. I go back to original question then Why do you think HJ should be ranked that high and it can't be about what they accomplished last year because the nucleus of that team is gone. Not negative just not convinced, my opinion only matters as much as yours no more, no less. BTW I have had positives to say about HJ.

no spite at all, repect what they have accomplished just does not mean that I drank the Kool-aid. Sorry about the wrong name for the school guess it was not as obvious as I thought it would be. Also, not trying to turn it in to OF?HJ thread, the topic was what we thought about the rankings, not , how dare you disagree with rankings becasue we went further last year even though wildcatter said we would not.

No he made the comment that he would be giving his insight and yet all I have heard is about HJ and how crazy everyone else is if they disagree with state rankings.
