Lifting isn't the issue.  I would like for a basketball coach to walk in the field house on a Friday afternoon and tell he coach that we are going to be lifting today fefore the game on Friday night.  Does anyone think that the football furus are having their kids lift on game day?  If it is not a big deal then let them do the same.  That is why it should be a separate position. JMO

Just goes to show why the AD position should be separate position.  Football coaches are out for one sport and that is their own.  They have no regard for whether a basketball team wins or loses, nor do they really care.  Pretty patheic no matter what team it happens to.

Are your guys gonna play?  Lazeek and Wildcatter on the same side.  Awful warm for hell to freeze over wouldn't you agree?  I do look forward to it though, should be fun for the kids.

I HATE DUKE, CAN THEY GIVE THEM ANYMORE CALLS?  

Just getting back from tourney in New Orleans and wanted to give a few thoughts.  First, even though I am a KY fan they are by far the team to beat.  With their size and guard play it is just impossible to match up with.  I watched the Smith kid from Wake just take over against Tx against any guard out there and he just had his way.  On Saturday he could do nothing.  Unless Ky just has a terrible night I dont see anyone playing with them.  They could have score 120 pts against Wake but subbed early and often.

His attitude was no better last night

Tied with Orangefield, OF should have won district easily but HJ caught them on a bad night

You can't spell basketball with a foot, I hear programs everyday complain that they don't have their kids to work with even during the season becasue they are doing offseason football so its not just HF.  You can have a team that noone plays football but until you are varsity you are still going to do football workouts.  Guess where thats decided at???  Show me a basketball coach who does not want the time in athletics to work with their sport, especially during the season.  That decision is dicated by one person the AD.  Guess what the AD coaches, football.  So, what do you think the answer will be. Football prep is the most important event, even if your kids do not play football.  Then of course you have weight maxing on basketball game days for your sub varsity guys.  Do you think that they max out of football game day?  Of course not.  It will not change as long as there are not seperate AD/Football coaches no mater how much of a stink parents raise.  Welcome to football land!

Congrats HJ, thought with the tempo it would be good for us but just did not shoot well. 

Good luck on the little dribblers, who schedules those anyway, need to take their whistle for scheduling on Tuesday nights.  This could be the perfect day, an upset of the hawks and my wildcats going to be the new #1.  Looking forward to the game, have to admit a little nervous after the performance on Friday but still believe that if we play well it is anybody's game.  If it is a high scoring game could be trouble so I am going to take my Bobcats winning 54-51. 

Agree, Turner is a very good defensive player who works hard and turns that into a lot of easy baskets.  If you have someone who can stop him getting into the paint to kick it out it slows him down and the rest of the offense.  But you are right someone has to be ale to do that.

But who forced them to play that bad???  NW had too many athletes for HJ.  Once they controlled Turner in the paint the game was over.  I realize that HJ made a run but it was not as close as the score sounded.  You ust had to look at first quarter, Turner was getting ball to the middle and kicking out to corner where Sutherland knocked down the 3's.  After that was taken away he did not get a good look the rest of game and had to put the ball on the floor which is not his real game.

We have plyed them 3 times and I have found him to be somewhat of a head case in that if you keep a body on him and he does not get the ball he gets mad and starts making bad decisions.  Definitely would not consider him any type of go to player.  I do like the way that he hooks you down low though.

any score on HJ EC?

I agree, biggest thing that has been missing this year has been the effort and it seems that it is getting better over the last couple of games.  I have never seen us in such a slump shooting wise but it will get better.  Just gotta keep getting better, last year everyone complained about how easy schedule was this year playing better teams and I have no doubt it will make us better come district which are the games that matter.

OF beat BC by 40 could have been much worse, they just had a bad shooting night, but best effort of the year.  They will be fine.

I'm just saying don't gripe when you are not playing as tough of a schedule as some.  Not trying to take away from your Kountze win but they had to work harder to get there than going through those teams that you beat.  No excuse for our loss and you don't hear me complaining either.

Guess you should have played better teams in your tourney, rather than the cupcakes.  Kountze had to beat ranked teams to get there not those powerhouses like Aransas Pass, Legacy.  I will give you that you should make the path to be in the finals but dont gripe when you dont have the quality wins.  Good job by beating Kountze again though.
