It’s embarrassing honestly, not sure how they can feel good about a win

I think Ponder outplayed Hitchcock for 2 1/2 quarters. Hitchcock caught up by the end of the 3rd.

1 senior and 3 juniors on this roster. And their best player this year was a freshman as best I can tell. Expect them to be back next year, and maybe the year after that
Big number 50 is listed as a sophomore

47-36 Lipan is your 2A State champs!
To loose the starters Lipan lost last year and come back and win it is special!

Hot Shot scored 13 in first half (10 in 1st Q) but shot 4/16 from field and 1/8 from three.
Put up 16 of the team's 27 shots.
Jayton has much more balanced scoring.
Jayton plays a lot better defense than Gordon did. Should make for a fun game.

What a gutty gutty performance by Payia and United. Down their leader Dotson and then Green fouling out, ended up just too tall a task to get the win.
Great 4 year run for BU and Coach Green.
Man no kidding! They played very well and confident.

Final
67-52 Shelbyville
It will be Shelbyville vs. Lipan for the 2A State Championship, Saturday at 1:30pm
What is the line on this game?

2A has not disappointed so far.

Right.
New Home going scoreless for over 7 minutes was why they lost. Not the last shot scenario.
Couldn’t agree more.

Final
40-39 Lipan
Lipan moves on to face winner of Shelbyville/Thrall
When New Home Coach goes back and watches this film he will be sick of how much he let his team dribble around with no play whatsoever and the end of regulation and end of overtime. Call a time out and work up a play at least!
-
That might have been the worst game I have watched in the last 3-4 years at State.
-
Ponder moves the ball as well as your going to see in 3A

26-19 Jayton
Very impressed with Jayton's #13 Stanalands. He has 20 first half points on 8 of 12 shooting.
I like how he can finish in a crowd. They need to shoot better from both lines to beat Benjamin.

Benjamin is a better team this year. A lot more well rounded for sure.

I think they can do it, I really do. It's a tall hill, no weak sisters in these four teams. But I'm a believer.
I ageee with you. I was at the game two years ago, they were a lot closer than what people make out. I’m looking for them to win the whole thing.

The demographics of the student section they brought to San Antonio the past 2 years certainly didn't match the demographics of the basketball team.
I was thinking the same thing.

As much as I want to say silsbee I am worried Booker will kill the boards and control the paint!
Give me Silsbee by 4

Absolutely, but their schedule still doesn't hold a candle to Shallowater's. It's wild how many 30-win teams they've played against this year.
They are tough for sure. To be quite honest I was hoping rains won lol

Seems like about as good of a matchup as you could hope for in a championship based on record, but Shallowater has played one heck of a schedule, and beat some great teams to get here
Has Huntington not? Farfield and Kountze are two of the best teams I have seen in the playoffs. I think Huntingtons Resume looks good.

I’m excited to see him grow each year. I think he will be a exciting player for sure!
