You'll enjoy watching Austin Brown play for Lufkin, especially if he plays like he did against Silsbee.
6`8 point guards don't grow on trees
Got to watch him last year, I have heard he has got bigger and more physical.

I will be at the Lufkin/Nac game haven’t got to watch Lufkin this year yet.

I have decided to go to Brookeland at Leggett game tomorrow night.
Going to have my pregame meal at Shrimp Boat Manny's in Livingston.
I think I will go to the Leggett Brookeland game as well. From what I can remember the gym is pretty small might be standing room only.

Silsbee has to do a better job of boxing out. I've said this all season. Put a butt or a hip on someone and box out.
Yes a lot of watching and not boxing out or jumping for rebound

I missed most of this one, but I heard one kid from Dville lit us up for 40 points?
Yes the long haired kid has a game for Dville

Watched it online very good game. Rice struggled around the rim in the first half but all in all it was a great showing by silsbee.

One problem I've noticed is Silsbee often tries to push the ball up the court too fast when they get it and will turn it right back over. This usually leads to free points for the other team. They need to teach these kids to pay attention first and foremost before passing the ball out.
And one of our star players needs to take it to the hoop and draw fouls when we go cold shooting the ball.
Still, there's no real shame in losing this one. It should be perfectly clear by now what we need to clean up if we want to be playing in March.
I agree. They line those things out and they will be fine. Miller still in football shape lol

Silsbee played their normal press and fast paced style. Caused a lot of turnovers in the first half, but Benton figured it out and was able to break the press and run. The height advantage was a killer. Silsbee went cold in the 2nd half, not taking bad shots, they just weren't falling. Burgess heated up in the 2nd half, but Harris probably led all scorers w/ maybe 25-30 points. Miller had at least twenty also.
Silsbee has to rebound better. Also had a lot of good stops defensively then turned the ball right back over. First time I have watched them this year, I do like them having the jones kid out there for his 3-point shooting.

Where is the tournament?

I have watched them the last two years at the state tournament, it is clear as day they are not a normal 4a team. Completely unacceptable for them to be a part of the tournament in 4a.
I have watched a great silsbee team and a great Booker T team get beat out by a put together “4A” squad. If I were a coach in 4A I would not let this go unheard.

Hate to miss this game! It was a thriller last year!

But it would be nice to have another shot at them. The Tigers gave them all they wanted last year coming to within 1 point in the second half and finally losing by 8. FF's last 11 points came from the free throw line.
That’s right. They weren’t scared of them that’s for sure

Bottom line, Silsbee kids are just tougher minded and have that will to win that showed in their games vs. Furr and Washington last year. Both those teams showed frustration even when they were ahead of Silsbee. Silsbee kids just don't get rattled.
I also think Silsbee is way better in the coaching department than Furr and Washington. Big reason why I have Silsbee winning the region.
I agree with that!

I am an outsider but a huge silsbee fan. I got to watch the Washington game last year and watched 3 or 4 games this year. I think once it gets to this level Miller and Harris are capable of kicking it up an extra step when other aren’t able to. Miller was awesome in that Washington game last year. I guess my point is I believe the coach will have them ready and we will see them at State again. Tough road but they are battle tested.

Jackson is probably the best shooter on the team outside of Harris. Bottley can be either hot or cold. He'll either make five or six a game, or miss almost every one he takes.
But yeah, Silsbee ain't a great shooting team overall.
Can’t have everything I guess. Lol they are tough as it is!
