Remember, in years past the Injuns have taken out average Texas City teams in district play 2-3 times before and what I've seen of Ball has been average at best. They cant seem to shake the bonehead plays and be consistent and there is no reason why they shouldn't have put up at least 35 on HISD's Wheatley. Granted Santa Fe has a history of playing powder puff non-district games but in the past few years they are improving vs. district foes. Of course, we don't have a lot of room to talk as far as scheduling goes with having played only Terry, Wheatley and B-Port in the pre-season this year. To make things more interesting in a hurry for us our 1st district opponent is guess who....Manvel![/b][/color]

They lost 2 fumbles and threw 3 INT's (one for a pick 6) but Oak Ridge ran up 361 total yards (Dawson had 303) but perhaps the 5 turnovers dug a hole for them which may have been too much to over come?[/b][/color]

[/quote] [color=navy][b]With all due respect to WOS speed is great but Diggs and a few others have nice wheels as well but I've seen spread offenses pick apart defenses no matter the speed ala Stephenville vs. us in State championship games where they beat us every time (4, I think). The DB's need to be able to cover (man) well and most importantly the defense no matter who it is better be well conditioned because 'da wood likes to run you ragged and wear ya down to negate your speed. I'm not saying who will win that game but just adding my 2 cents...looks to be one heck of a ball game! Oh yea, if your D-line and LB's aren't in the backfield quickly & often it will make for a long night and they have some Angus on that O-line.[/b][/color]
