TISK TISK!
On ensuing play Dawson fumbles the ball and TC scoops it up for a TD return but they too get 2 penalties on the play which negates their TD and TC takes over on Dawson's 40...can you say undisciplined?

Makes me feel a little better about my NDNS ;D
turnover fest
How's Dawson this year? I thought they were loaded again.
Decent team with good players but they play undisciplined ball and rack up way too many unsportsmanlike and personal foul penalties. They also have had trouble being consistent and have run into the fumble bug too often. I look for them to finish 4th or 5th in 24-4a at years end.
Wow, who you got top four? Friendswood, TC, Manvel, Dawson or LM Does that sound about right?
1. Friendswood 2. La Marque 3. Manvel 4. TC/Dawson 5. SF 6. Ball

 15.
Ey, I see your boys actin bad over there! 8) 8) 8)
Thanks fella but even though I love my Coogs I never sugar coat anything so to in all fairness to Santa Fe they played a very good ball game although the score seems to indicate otherwise. Their QB (Davidson), RB (Walton) and one of their receivers (Morales) are the real deal and never backed down to our D and never looked intimidated. As a matter of fact those 3 studs are amazing athletes and on more than one occasion they left more than 1 of our defenders in their wake, especially that Morales kid. Although SF is 0-2 in district play they could easily be 2-0 had the turnover monster not visited them in both games. Don't get me wrong...they did fumble 3 times and throw one interception but the 2/3 (couldn't see the other one) fumbles were forced fumbles by intentional strips and the interception was caused due to trying to avoid a sack so our boys do deserve some credit. SF's D is pretty darn sold against the run and did keep the reins on T. Wright by only allowing him to get 133 yards rushing but their secondary was too soft and were too short to keep up with our receivers. They racked up alot of rushing yardage vs. us but in all fairness that is their bread and butter. Also, they had 62 attempts and with Walton running and them lining up a huge lineman as a half back it was quite a task keeping him from getting his yards. The score was only 14/7 us at halftime but our kids came out in the second half, kept their composure when needed and trusted the game plan of their coaches which was clearly evident by the kids bending but not breaking as well as doing what was needed to take the win. SF isn't out of the playoff picture quite yet as with the exception of FW (they throw the ball too well for SF to keep up) they could go undefeated for the remainder of district play and play spoiler too even if they don't make it. I know this though...I wouldn't want to play them again, especially if they stop turning the ball over so much.

 17.
Could the champs be back?  I only see TC and FW causing problems......
Only time will tell and I agree with your post for the most part and although TC is 3-1 they are scratching and clawing to grab the W's. I think the overall caliber of all the teams with the exception of Ball High (TC doesn't have a good W/L history with the Tors either) aren't going to be so forgiving to them. Dawson is also a potential contender but that depends which Dawson shows up on any given night? They need to find more consistency and 7 turnovers in one game isn't gonna cut it in 24-4A!
I think I have my years mixed up...let me go check our playoff history...brb!
My apologies...I dont know why I got you guys mixed up with the 2004 season vs. Jacksonville (29-28 win)? My bad! I like playing Central though...they along with WOS and PNG have always been respectable opponents win, lose or draw.

 20.
Yea, hopefully LaMarque will get back to their dominant ways so we can hopefully see you again in the playoffs for payback from 2006...   8) 8)
If my memory serves me right that was a nail biter and a great game as well?!?!
 21.
La Marque looking real good,...
Thanks but the district road ahead of us is not gonna be easy at all. Even though we did beat a projected 3rd place team or better in the district I can't honestly see ANYONE going undefeated this year? Not trying to brag but did you get a look at that hit @ the 2:09 mark? Poor kid never saw it coming!
 22. vs. Mavs (9/24)  ;)
 23. Tim Wright on the other hand for LM is a beast. That kid has 294 yards (3 td's) rushing and the game isn't quite over yet.
 24. The Dawson/ SF game was a turnover fest. The hoss that was racking up yard after yard for SF (Walton) was turned into a shetland pony and only managed 26 yards in the 1st half and got his bell rung throughout the game. Dawson keyed on him and shut him down pretty much. He is SF's bread and butter. Tonight he was just parkay.  ::)
