Yep, beating up on the little fellas, huh!
They've also whipped up on Bmt. Central a few times this summer.
Enjoy your summer ;)
So...U think Central is going to defeat Nederland this season in district? :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
I think Nederland will get the third spot in their district. ;)
Ok. I predict they get 2nd (at worse). If U are predicting 3rd, then should I assume that u believe Central will finish ahead of them? Quick history of last year: Nederland swept Central last year on Varsity, JV, and Freshman...
Quick history.  Before the last 2 years (before the 2 bigs from PA come over), what was Big Ned's record against Central?  And may I remind you that those 2 bigs are gone now.  Summer ball do not equate to  anything that will happen  in district, where it means everything.  Please don't tell me that you will rely on the services on the big 'baseball' freshmen player from last year...
One big had been living in Nederland since before middle school and the other was in Port Neches.  Somone from Beaumont wouldn't know but does it really matter.  They played for Nederland and as I recall 3 years ago when my oldes son started for Nederland they beat Central then in overtime to split with them that season and haven't lost to Central since that game.  Nederland has lost some size but Weisbrod gives them some.  The biggest loss for Nederland is experience and depth but Coach E. will get them plenty of games to prepare them for district.  I see a 2nd place finish this year.
H-J clearly one of the best; Nederland because of English (don't know much good or bad about the rest of his staff); Silsbee staff is clearly very good (had to do it without Travis for a lot of last season) WestBrook - no comment...
Nederland doesn't have a staff;  They get whichever football coach Neuman decides will do basketball.  This is not to demean the assistants, I respect them and enjoyed my sons playing for them.  English doesn't get even one assistant until football is out of playoffs.  Coach E has to coach Freshman, JV, and Varsity usually through November and sometimes into December.  I don't know how he doesn't burn out.  No other sport in Nederland has to do without assistants the way basketball does.

 6.
20-4A has been picked and already released to the kids.
Not to all players....Coach Robbins has always abided by the agreement to wait until all teams are out of the playoffs.  Unfortunately not all coaches do so.

I feel Brett Brown has earned that start. I would pitch Dup game 2 and Tyler game 3 or in relief if needed in the first two. Then have LaSalle (sp.) go game 3. With Pitts in the bullpen.
My three starters would be Dup, Brown, and Smith if needed in game 3 just to give him another week of rest on the shoulder.  Bullpen of course has shown it's depth so relief will be Lasalle, Fontentot, Pitts, Quinn, C. Richard, C. Raines, etc.  Great shape if the bats get hot again.  Dogs in 2.
Don"t forget about Trev he looked good against LCM.
That's the etc....lol.....too many to list em all.

 9. What is the purpose of this post?  I haven't heard any all district picks yet.
 10.
HEY NHS83LU87 ..... Then let WHATHAPPENED argue the point then!!!  Eagles did out play the dogs in games 1 and 3
But he was misquoting someone else to make his argument.  It is quite simple if you outplayed Nederland then you would be playing Magnolia next weekend......I give you game 1 BH outplayed Nederland hands down and won but not games 2 and I believe game 3 was pretty even.......BH used their ace and #2 and Nederland showed their depth.....BH made more errors in game 3 than Nederland but had more hits......Nederland's pitching and defense allowed 2 runs in game 3 while BH's allowed 3.  Scoreboards don't lie.
 11.
Don't forget candy made double play to start the whole inning... Right over SS glove. Mistakes were made that inning and that is why Ned scored those three runs. Good game by Kyle leggett. Came out clutch and threw excellent all game. Hats off to the eagles for a good playoff run and like ForeverADog said outplayed them all three games.
You misquote ForeverADog.  He said it could be argued......For people who can read the English language that is not the same as saying they did outplay them....Furthermore if BH made more mistakes which led to the winning runs wouldn't that mean Nederland outplayed them....Barbers Hill was solid no doubt but the final score is Nederland wins 2 games to 1...for some reason you keep making negative statements towards Nederland which in some cases are proven false(i.e. Vidor throwing a lefty) which destroys your credibility...not many teams lose their #1 and #2 starting pitchers and win a series....The dogs pulled together and did what needed to be done.....Great Job!!!!  Get ready for Magnolia!
 12. Duplant from Nederland should be New Comer.
 13.
This series will probably go 3, if Smith isn't able to pitch.
I still think it goes 2.....Fontenot, Lasell, Brown, Pitts, Quinn, Richard, Raines, Broussard, etc.....They have to step up!
 14.
Nederland, Dillon Duplaint pitcher. Trevin Sonnier SS. Stephen Schlett 2nd base. Anthony Babineaux. Catcher. Tyler Smith pitcher too.Jacob Pitts OF
Ned:  Brown has had a heck-of-a year with the bat.  Should be considered as well at 1B or DH.

 17.
Let's just get back on topic please
I agree Big Dog.  I wasn't trying to push any buttons.  If kept in context I was simply addressing 1 person's comments regarding Nederland's prospects if they lose 1 player.  I addressed the positions that would be vacated and stated an opinion and tried to back it up with some info.  I will delete my post because these players do not need nor deserve distractions from any of us.  They have all worked hard to be where they are.  Nederland will win in 2 because of their depth at all positions.
 18.

Personally, Rounder appears to know nothing about the rest of the Dogs.  There are a few pitchers that either due to an early injury or showing up late because of basketball success that very well may have been starters and definitely would be starters for most other teams.  Brown(RHP) and Pitts(LHP) have an ERA of 0 and both bring it in the high eighties.  Smith has been lights out and Fontenot is the best 3rd baseman I have seen in Nederland over the last 2 years but due to offensive needs has had to split time at 3rd and play outfield.  What Nederland will miss is Dup's bat.  His pitching would be nice because you never can have enough pitching in the playoffs but I believe Pitts, Brown, and Fontenot can step up to the rubber.  This is, however, an example of why the other pitchers should get more innings during district.  Nederland was the best returning team before Dup transferred but he has been a very welcomed addition.  Nederland will take this in 2.   What is most important now is that Dup take care of his health and is in our prayers.
I happen to know Brown and Fontenot, and yes they are both good pitchers. Don't forgot about Kole Lassall, he can pitch too.  Don't know the Pitts kid, but I hear he is pretty darn good too.  I know a little more about your players, and team than you may realize. After all, I am the one who started the "RUMOR", that ended up being true. Good luck tomorrow. I hope they win.
Just because you started the "rumor" means you know Dup not the others on the team....Besides the "rumor" shouldn't have been mentioned on here unless the family wanted it here....you left the reason wide open and many could have thought it was grades, discipline etc....You were out of line and if I were Dylan's family I wouldn't share information with you are consider you a friend.
 19. The whole team is deep.  I was specifically talking about the pitchers that could cover for Dup.  People look for reasons to complain.
Congrats to all the Seniors including J. Richard, C. Richard, R. Quinn, C. Meade, and J. Kemp. Good luck in the playoffs! I am proud of all the Seniors.
Don't get offended because your son wasn't mentioned.  I am proud of the whole team not just the seniors this year.  I just mentioned those specific seniors because they have played an active role in 3 straight championships.
 22. Nederland of course is in the best spot. LCM has no worries about making the playoffs...it's all about seeding now....will they save pitching for the seeding games or pitch their best against Nederland which is a fairly meaningless game in the grand scheme of things......PNG cannot let their guard down even though it is Central.....Vidor and Livingston have to pitch their best because lose and their out unless PNG found a way to lose...then you could have a tie for 2nd/3rd and a tie for 4th....final game means a lot for 3 of these teams.

 24.
If this is wrong someone chime in. 20-4 A No head to head tiebreakers 2 teams will be playoff or coaches agree 3 teams , tournament with tie breaking rules , fewest runs allowed get the bye.
Having had a son the 07 team, I asked the next year if it had changed.  It is my understanding that it is no longer head to head but a play-in game.
