RG, I see us winning 3 out of the 4 last games which should get us in to the playoffs. It's highly possible we could pull off all 4 games but I don't want to go there yet. Playoffs should be PNG, Nederland, Lumberton and Central not necessarily in that order.

I'm pretty much thinking the only district game PNG will lose is the one they look past their opponent. Oh and by the way Indians, the week of October 9th you guys really need to be getting ready for mid-county madness.

Now I don't have the stats handy but I'm thinking this is probably backwards. First and foremost Lumberton never punted during the game in fact Ozens punter can kick the cover off the ball, I was surprised how far his punt went.

Kind of odd how so many people were picking Ozen to be in the playoffs and talking about how good they are/were and yet now that Lumberton beat them all of the sudden they are unimpressive, soft, way down, etc. could it not be that Lumberton is just good? Now Ozen is getting a beat down along with Lumberton, is the same thing going to happen if we beat Central what about PNG or any other team?

Let's see now, Ozen beat Memorial, Memorial beat Central,Lumberton beat Ozen and by virtue of the results against Memorial weeeeeellll; the Raiders will be picking Jaguar meat out of their teeth. The train stays on the track at least for another week. Now PNG really needs to be concentrating on mid-county madness the week of the 9th.

I don't see Ozen taking DC for sure. As far as Friday, hometown boy gotta do what a hometown boy do, I'm going with my team.

All in all, this was a very exciting game to watch. Both teams made mistakes,some of them costly, but hey, this is what High School football is all about. White and King for the Longhorns did a very good job penetrating our defense but so did our guys. The coach needs to take the next two weeks and work on timing to cut down some of the false starts we had. He also needs to glue the helmet to number 27's head so he doesn't take it off on the field again when he celebrates a sack, dumb penalty. There was not much for the Raiders on the short to mid-distance passes except a few swing passes, personally hate those but we did actually get yards on them. Those type passes need to be worked on. The running game was great albeit not very unpredictable. the runners were hitting most of the same holes, need to go against the grain every once in awhile though to loosen up the defense. Looking forward to our next game to see what kind of adjustments Babin has made.

Keep in mind, the scrimmages are for the officials to practice too. i't's highly possible one or more of them are new officials.
