  1. First of all I will say I don't have a clue who will be # 1 Def.  But lets get real if the Ned fans are saying they will be good because of what they did last year they are in bad shape. In the last game of the year that sent them home or in the Playoffs, they were in no hurry to wrap up Hussey,Beard or Hanna. I thought they were the worst tackling team I saw. I know that no one thinks Lumberton is any good ever so if they couldnt tackle those slow small kids from the L-Train they have to be bad. Good luck to all the Kids on the field and I look forward to argueing with all you Raider haters this year even though my son is gone from School.

And one add on to Maverick's statement. Who beat LaMarque in the playoffs? It took a pretty good Defense to do that.
  2. do you just sit and make sure no one gets your seat are do u sit am watch the band then fall asleep are do you turn around to your buddies and blow off smoke of what your team did not do the way thay should have. are do u got and smoke and censored to others, well maybe get a hot dog      what did i leave out lol

Maybe it's becuase I was in the band, but me I watch the halftime activities because those kids work every bit as hard as the football players and need our support too. But, that don't stop me from responding to my buddies talking about what went on.........multitask.
  3. wright won state in power lifting and apparently u did not see him get more yards on Dayton than any other team and score their only td against Lamar or him score both tds on vidor I would say he can carry a load and Tatum can and will shine were not a throwing team

I don't really have the best of memories, but wasn't it the throw that got PNG past Lumberton last year?
  4. I love all the trash talk!!!!! Feels like football season!!!!!   In my opinion Lumberton wil finish no better than 4th in district this year.  I admit yall had a GREAT team last year.  But take it from a humbled Nederland fan, It is not going to happen every season!!!!  I hope yall are good again. I loved the enthusiasm Lumberton brought last year. I do think yall will have a very good running back.

Amen on the trash talk.....I can't wait until the Smack Attack starts again too, what is it, 8 or 9 weeks until 0 week. Now of course, I don't expect Big Ned or any other district foes to give us respect until we make the playoffs at least twice, but L-town is here with a good plan now so watch out. It's not like we've never had winning seasons, in fact the last year there were only 2 playoff teams Lumberton went 8 and 2, as usual an also ran, but I see 4th place possibly having an under .500 record. Four teams is too many, sounds like some of that liberal crap where there are no losers.....sheesh.

  5. As usual, I guess tradition wins out. Personally I'm still riding with the L-Train, they will be in the playoff mix for a few more years at least since you're now dealing with players who for the most part have been in the new Lumberton football system since they were around 7 or 8. From Pee Wee to Varsity it's all the same now.

  6. Just a little word about our fan support in Lumberton. I've lived in Lumberton virtually all my life, went through school here and played in the band, one thing I can say about L-Town fans is that they've always supported their football team to the max. Even in losing seasons the Raiders had crowds comparable to their opponents, in fact the only time I worried about it, and myself considered not going to games were through the Fuller years, but that's behind us now. As to this year, it seemed the further in the season we got the bigger and the louder our support got. That really came to a head for the Nederland game, I'm sure they were cheering for their boys but Lumberton was SOOOO loud you couldn't hear them from our side, my ears were still ringing saturday morning after the game. L-Town boys we love what you did for us this year and you will ALWAYS have the support of at least this fan, but I bet I'm not the only one who feels that way. As big a hockey fan as I am (GO 'CATTERS!!!), like most everyone else in SE Texas, FOOTBALL is still king!! Go Southeast Texas and show the rest of the state that we are the best in football. GO BRONCS!!!!!!!!!

  7. Okay, first of all, where's the crow, I'm hungry. The L-Train shot itself in the foot on the first kick-off and then once Waller got the ball we found out real quick who came to play. Hats off to the L-Train boys for what they have done and as long as DaBronx keep their game tight maybe we can still brag a little by saying we actually beat last years and this years state champs. Go Broncs and represent our district and area well. As far as Waller, you guys needs to bring out your big can of Whoop-A, them boys running with the ball, and it didn't much matter who it was, fall for 5 yards when you do knock them down. L-Town finally slowed them some in last half of the 3rd quarter but there was no way to repair the damage already done. Who knows as far as rematches go, maybe if the Broncs are moved to another district the coaches will decide to have a go at it in the preseason. If that happens, don't expect the L-Train to cower from you guys.......LOL

I would like to make one comment about the amount of bragging and smacking we Lumberton folks have been doing.....Do you guys remember the first time you    , you probably bragged to all your buddies about it, well the first time in the playoffs is about the same, only no chance of suprise rugrats.........LMAO

  8. tick tock, tick tock, the Broncos are coming, tick tock, tick tock, Broncos remember, tick tock

The Broncos are coming? Good the Raiders have had to ride the train everywhere since they put the last Broncos away, now they'll be able to ride the horsey again.......

[move]chuga chuga, chuga chuga, chuga chuga, chuga chuga, chuga chuga, [glow=red,2,300]CHOO! CHOOOOO!!!![/glow][/move]

By the way, and this is by no means meant as a dis to the PNG players or fans, but it could be said that had a few officials calls gone a different way Lumberton possibly or probably could have beat the Indians, I wonder if the Dayton fans would be griping about the district crown then, district championships are decided by win/loss record only and have nothing to do with the number of points scored or first downs, etc....hence the reason that there are Tri-District Champs if you don't like sharing the crown you could call UIL and forfeit it, as for L-Town, we're happy.....

  9. I can't get over the creativity of some of the L'ton posters.  It's too funny.  Like that shopping thread....

Very, very creative.  I know they are very happy and we are happy for them.

Actually it's because we've had 41 years to come up with this stuff...........LOL
  10. Playing good teams in pre-district is beneficial.  Unlike college ball, your ranking doesn't matter, so why not play teams that are going to challenge you and make you better.  Lumberton has had a great season, but i think if they'd played a difficult pre-district schedule they'd be even better than they are right now.  Look at it like this... lumberton probably gained more expererience and confidence from playing and beating LaMarque than they did in all of their pre-district games.   Why not play teams of this caliber at the beginning of the year so that you are already geared to playing against a high level of talent when district starts.  Lumberton had a flukey win over Dayton at the beginning of the year, and was fortunate that they didn't have any more tough games until the last few weeks of district.  They had time to play some decent teams to gear up for PNG, Nederland, and their playoff opponents.  I honestly think that if Dayton and Lumberton had played again the week after their first game, Dayton would've easily beaten them.  Now, because of the experience that Lumberton has gained from it's last 5 games or so, i think it could be an even match.  Why not get to that level earlier in the season instead of hoping that you can get there late in the year?  There's really nothing to lose from playing good teams in pre-district, with the possible exception of a flashy record.

You know bullets, it's comments like yours that burn my butt. How can you honestly say Lumberton had a "flukey win over Dayton". Get over yourself dude. First of all Lumberton held Dayton to 7 points........got it buddy I said 7 points. Yeah Dayton is powerful for sure but let me remind you one more time, [glow=red,2,300]7[/glow] points, that's why our team won. The coach took a chance on the 2 pointer and got it, that's why we beat Dayton, it was a win or lose move. There was absolutely nothing FLUKEY about that. Now, can Lumberton take Dayton down again? Good question and from the looks of it we are about to get that chance, can Dayton take Lumberton  ???
  11. You guys and your loud noises, me personally, I'm a very quiet individual, I never cheer louder than a whisper. Neither do my friends....................YEAH RIIIIIIIIGHT, that's why Lumberton's God Squad felt they needed to pray for me and my friends at the Central game, they thought we were getting too rowdy....LOL. LET THE HORNS LOOSE!!!!!!!

  12. Lumberton fans please stop making stupid Lumberton threads. Unless its talkin about the game this friday or cheering the team on just STOP. Its getting ridiculous.

Pimp Smack you obviously haven't heard........now I got this straight from the trainers mouth mind you. Those red undershirts that the boys have been wearing.........they all have a great big S in the middle of the chest!!!!!! ;D
