    Laugh if you want but alot of people dont realize how close of game it was last year,  if it werent for a few special team mistakes and giving West Brook the ball in scoring territory on two occasions the panthers were in it. West Brook will not take ozen lightly b/c in a rivalry game anything is possible

    You know what I find funny about this post? What Ghost rider is saying is kind of like what Dayton felt last year, you know if they didn't have one more point than us, we would have won........LOL

    I know this has nothing to do with the 3 teams U listed in the poll but Livingston talks the most trash in 20-4A. They ran their mouths from the beginning until the end when they played Lumberton even though they were getting beat up.

    Hey its, I think the question was which team talks the most smack ON HERE. Which I wonder why we're not on there, I certainly try to sling my poo as much as possible.........lol

    if nederland beats vidor friday,,,,,,,i say the l-train falls off its track at bulldog stadium the next friday......central and livingston just out ran the dogs with pure speed,,,,sorry vidor and lumberton wont be able to flat out run the dogss.......they do not have the raw talent these other two teams have..........sorry but the dogs roll right in the playoffs with back to back wins.........

    I dunno, the speed that Vidor came out with in the second half against L-Town looked almost like a whole new team showed up. I think Big Ned is going to be shocked that Vidor actually has something up their sleeve, they may not be as fast as Central or Livingston but they sure would be breathing down their collective backs.

    From what I've read, you certainly haven't.  Of course, I haven't seen it all so I apologize if that's the case.

    Sure, if Lumberton loses to Ned, put my vote down for Livingston as I've heard they've vastly improved since Lumberton.  I can't see that Central offense putting up enough points to beat the Lions.

    Regardless of who ends up on top, Lumberton is the most complete team in the district and has the best chance of doing anything in the playoffs.

    I dont post much anymore, but this is kind of an ignorant, arrogant post.. I am not here to debate what will happen in the Ned/Lum game, because frankly Nederland's defense is ugly, and I havent seen Lumberton this year... But to say that Lumberton has the best chance of doing anything in the playoffs is pretty ignorant in my opinion.. Livingston has proven it can put up big numbers, Central has proven to grind the ball out and play good smashmouth football and also keep a very talented Nederland offense to 10 points, Nederland has put up huge offensive numbers this year and has proven their ability to score lots of points quickly... I think all of these teams have a great chance of going far in the playoffs... Not just Lumberton, who has gone to the playoffs one year... who's fans think the "L-Train" (whatever that is) is God's gift to High School Football... and who's stadium announcer has NO class whatsoever... making fun of high school athletes on the field is completely unprofessional... act like youve been there before even though you havent.... He thinks tact is something you put in the wall...

    on a side note... as far as central goes (and livingston), I was very impressed with the level of athleticism in these teams.. If you combined that kind of talent with Nederland coaching, you'd have a state team... Not to say that Nederland doesnt have talent, but on a whole, I think Nederland lacks in really big or really fast athletes... always have... but coaching.... Undeniably Nederland has the best in the area....

    Are the bolded statements supposed to go together? If so you haven't paid much attention to the Lumberton announcer, he makes a point of trying to recognize both teams. I don't care much for the job he does, just needs more experience I guess, but I'll give him the fact that he does recognize and try to pump up both teams' fans. In fact that's one thing I've heard a few fans complain about, they feel he should be MORE biased toward Lumberton. I don't hear other school announcers telling the fans on both sides to get up and cheer for their teams at the kick off.

    In Lumberton you not only have the one Junior High situation, but the football program goes all the way literally to the little league level. Lumbertons' little league footballers play the same formations and plays as the Varsity. If a kid grows up playing football in Lumberton now, when he gets to high school, he is working more on the finesse then learning the plays. If i'm not mistaken, this is what happens in Orange too, with the young ones going into WOS.

    i'd say it would be livingston and central....only because nederland and vidor is not gonna be much of a game.....nederland will spank the al mighty pirates and spoil vidors season yet again........just like every other year the al mighty pirates always upset someone and never make the playoffs....when is the last time vidor did anything to represent this district.........all you idiots can sit behind your computers and predict vidor to beat nederland but aint gonna happen my friends.....matthews has never been able to produce a play-off team and he wont again........neuman and company will have something for the pirates friday nite at the bone yard,,,thats a promise........so get your popcorn ready pirates cause once again your season ends in two fridays..........

    I thought the announcer was kinda wacky and senile, and spoke in a mono-tone vocie. However, your facilities were outstanding. You are the envy of 20-4A.

    LUMBERTONS announcer is just a flammin IDIOT!!!!!

    And we are GLAD to have him !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I thought PNG's announcer sounded alot like Marcus Bowman, Lumberton's announcer for so many years. He did make a few glaring mistakes, wrong downs, saying the quarter was over with over 5 minutes left, etc. Only way to correct that might be to give him an assistant to pass on information. As far as Lumberton's announcer, there are alot of things he could do differently, like not copy other schools catch phrases ( another Raider "first down"), he still seems inexperienced to me, although I think he has been here 3 or 4 years.

    Gonna be a helluva game! Wish I could be there!  With these two teams, hard to make a prediction.  I feel like the winner will be the district champs. 

    NDN, I'm thinking you feel like Big Ned is gonna take L-Town down the final game. If they don't Lumberton has the tie breaker on both of these teams, so this probably won't be for district champ, although the winner is surely guaranteed a playoff spot. I think Central will take this game, I imagine Livingston has improved since we played them, but they seem more like a mirror image of Nederland, all offense and no defense. I think Central will contain them just like they did Nederland and take this one by around 10 points. Don't look for any 50 point game.
