I am telling you, they are educated people, with generally a level head, but when it comes to pro sports, they swear Vegas, or the media, or the leagues fix most of the big games.

Trust me, there is a pretty good turn over at the smaller school level.

Mercifully, thankfully, the 2009 Astro's season comes to an end.......The question is this gentlemen ( and ladies), will it get any better in 2010? Or will we have more of the same? ( Which is what I expect, another year of disappointment.)

Buna by 1 in an upset.

I hope Vidor goes to the playoffs this year. I was a student at Vidor during the 71-74 seasons, when we went 0-40. It was awful. I remember getting beat 66-0 by South Park and going to Houston on a Saturday to get kicked by Mt Carmel 50-0. I remember nit-wits on the Pirates team getting into fights every game. I remember coaches quitting in the member of the season saying the Pirates were a lost cause. I am hoping for the best Pirates. Good Luck!

I agree. It would be very easy to overlook this week's game especially with a huge matchup with Newton looming next week. Coach Huckabay will keep his guys focused on one game at a time and the only thing that will be on our minds this week will be Tarkington. If we play mistake free football we will be 3-1 heading to Newton next week I don't see it happening. Bless their hearts, but Tarkington doesn't have it.....Orangefield will win easily.
