2.
I got really excited when I saw the game was gonna be at Wood Forest, but Humble is almost as good.  I'll be able to make this one!  And Kirbyville always plays well there.
Id say Turner is on par with Woodforest, except the parking. Turner is a BEAUTIFUL stadium.
Not sure how you figure Dayton to be the strongest in the Region...Maybe your classification, but Friendswood, Montgomery, and Humble all have just as much right to that crown as Dayton.
I believe they are referring to who's left in the DII bracket. Dayton would destroy Humble ;D
Yeah...so ive been told.    ::)
Should be a great game featuring a lot of skill.  How is your offensive line look?  Because it will be the key to how well you do offensively.  Our Defensive-line has seen some bad and great offensive lines this year...that will determine how well you do against the defense. as far as our offense being by committee, this is true.  Offensively we operate as a team, no one player is the key to shutting us down.  Just like our defense, we are very physical and very well coached.  Sometimes when you play  teams with a lot of skill, you see the offense centered around 2-3 kids that are lynch pins...remove them, and it melt down.  With us?  We feature  4 players with over 300 yards reception this year, and one of that is our Running back Darius Lynch. Not sure when the last time we played central was, or if we even have.   But i am looking forward to it, to bad we have to drive to Beaumont...So we better win or that drive back is going to SUCK.
Our defensive line have came a long way.  We were dominated by PN-G last week, but rebounded against Galena Park.  I think we will do well against your D-Line.  I just hope our Offensive line will come to play and run block better.  This game will come down to turnovers.  I believe that both defenses will be tested early and often.  If we take an early lead, we need to keep the throttle on and not play cat and mouse.  Humble is not the team to be playing this dangerous game with.
I haven't seen yalls Oline, so like i said...no position to really make a prediction.  But if yall can handle our D-Line, then that will be pretty impressive.  It isn't often you go up against a Defensive line with 3 Div-1 propsects sitting across from you... I look forward to the game, just not the drive.....and if anything was proven today, its no matter how good you think you are...anyone can beat you.

 7. I said from the very beginning that is Brenham didn't come to play and take Kpark seriously, it could easily go the other way. Kingwood park is a solid club, but what i was most impressed with is how horrible the Cub offense was.  But it is apparent that brenham thought to highly of themselves, and were looking WAY down the road. Hope the Humble guys take a good hard look...Any Given Friday, or Saturday.

 9.
Brenham showed they weren't invincible when Stratford got done with them ! I know there's all that stuff about laying an egg and were the best second half team in the State yada, yada, yada. I really don't  know how good unranked Stratford is but they did everyone a favor and exposed some weak spots in Brenham's game. Brenham is still the #1 team to beat in Reg 3 with a big target on their back, while Dayton on the other hand is getting dissed for their 3 loses they will be loose and ready to rumble ! LETS GET IT ON-nnn ! ( in my best UFC pre-fight voice ) ;)
Dude.... Stratford is tough.  They were a QB away from an undefeated season, and probably a Top 5 ranked team.  Just go back and look at the opponents they have faced and how they did against them. Friendswood: 24-14-  Stratford was up 14-10 halftime on them.  Held Friendswood to below their season average offensively (yards) Montgomery: 34-10-  Stratford was down 14-7 halftime.  They got tired in the 4th and Montgomery ran away with it in the 4th. Brenham: 20-17-  Stratford was up 17-3 at the half against #2 ranked brenham. Humble: 23-13-  Stratford was up 7-3 at the half. That team has shown that is it just a couple of pieces away from competing with some of the big dawgs.  Do not discount that brenham game vs. Stratford as weakness.....Stratford just matches up well against some of the better teams in the area. And they are VERY GOOD against the pass.
 10. I haven't had a chance to see Central this season, so i can't really say we have a chance to beat them or get beat by them.  I know that they are generally athletic, but that is the case for a lot of schools.  I know they have a pretty solid runner in D. Heard.  other then that, i am unsure of their style of play...their intensity...or even how we match up against them schematically. What i do know is that Humble has one of the best defenses if not the best in Region III.  We have an efficient offense (not a lot of turnovers), and have big play potential that can swing the momentum of a game.  We are going to dazzel you offensively, but i can guarantee you that if you love defense you will love to watch this team.
 11.

Hope your boys pull out a W Brenhamfan.  ;D
Me too...  Kingwood Park has best offense and the second best defense in their district, so it should be a good one.
Yeah, theirs a huge drop off between Humble and Kpark defensively...and i mean huge.
 12.
This Humble team mirrors us in every way.  They play to their competition.  They seem to have 1 stud RB.  They have a passing game that they can go to.  And their defense seems to be good against the run.  We have to play flawless football to beat this team... Not that fumbleroosky crap we've been playing for the last 2 weeks...
Have you seen us play? Because our defense isn't just good against the run, we are just flat out good.  Will be an interesting match-up given that Central will neutralize our speed.

They are a solid team. Here is a list of their wins and losses as of last week. Alief Taylor(8-1)    L    43-13 Alvin (1-8)            W   32-10 Dickinson (4-5)      L    24-21 Humble                 W   14-10 Channelview(1-8)   W   19-17 Pasadena(3-6)       W   50-3 Pas. Memorial(5-4)  W   31-7 Pas. Rayburn(4-5)   W   48-7 South Houston(5-4) W   35-14 Deer Park(7-2)        W   34-13 This team is no pushover. If we're not careful, we could spend the rest of the playoffs in the Losers Lounge.
Correct....The Longhorns are a decent team....the only game they were out matched in was the first game against Alief Taylor, who is a REALLY good team and one of my favorites to take the Region III title in D2. They were pretty banged up against Dickinson and still almost won that game, Dickinson scored late to take the win...since then they've been on a roll....they win on the road against Humble was impressive, Humble would be a decent 5A team. They have 3 guys that can run the ball...another impressive win was @ Deer Park where they ran them out of the building...had over 500 yards of offense and only like 2 completions on 4 pass attempts. The key for West Brook will be Defense.....Don't let Dobie hang on to the ball and use up the clock. QB Blake Jackson reminds me of Gibson from North Shore....you have to respect his arm and his running ability. I don't think it will be a high scoring game...Dobie will run the ball 50 times easily. 24-17 or 28-24 West Brook
Humble let that game slip away from them.  Our offense just didn't show up and was our QB's first game starting.  It took us about 4 games to get our offense rolling. That being said, Dobie is a pretty good team.  Their offense is really explosive, and that head coach of theirs is doing a great job preparing week to week. I still see WB beating them, but if could easily turn into a Dobie win if not taken seriously.
 14.
Unless Kingwood park has improved dramatically in a year, I don't see them being able to compete with Brenham. The best thing they going for them last year was a punter that could flat kick the s#%@ out of the ball! That kid was amazing.
Their QB is pretty good, and their RB is legit.  Their biggest weakness is they are inconsistant, and their defensie scheme is more geared for a defense you'd see a team with a load of athletes run.  To slow to be running the 3-4/3-3 stack. if Brenhams offense is legit, they will be up by 21 by halftime.  If they struggle, they will be up by 10-14 by halftime...and their defense will blow it open for them in the 2nd half. Humble's QB was sick, and offense sputtered...and we still beat them 31-3.
 15.
Anybody plan on going to this game? [/quote I will most likely be there, but if Humble looses i will not be up for it. i need a good 4-5 days of recovery time, although i don't really anticipate that happening.
 16.
8 yd TD run by Kingwood Park 7-0 KP 4:35 in the 2nd. KP has an elusive little HB, by he's very careless with the ball.
#8 Chris Smith is pretty good.  He is quick, and has great vision.   He is very careless with the ball however.   That QB is pretty good as well.  But a strong defensive front will shut him down rather easily.
 17.
Scoreless after 1. Offenses look totally different, but about equal. Good sportsmanship by both teams.
Surprised by two thing. 1. Offenses looking equal and being scoreless.  I think Humble was up 28-0 at the end of the first quarter. 2. Good Sportsmanship by New Caney, believable....Kpark...get out of here, that would be a first.
 18. Humble Wildcats Record: 8-1 Offensive Scheme: Spread Offensive Notes: Are pretty balanced. Are as close to a 50/50 split between pass and run. The ratio however is slightly towards a more pass oriented offense, but not by much. Weakness, they aren’t a very strong running team contrary to the tradition of the Humble Offensive game. RB is solid, but due to a lack of run blocking makes most of his yards on his own. Offensive line is good, but inconsistent in run blocking. Offensive Key Players: QB- Kyle Washington (6’5 180)- Passing Yards: 1410 Comp %: 62 TD: 12 INT: 2 . Rushing Yards: 37-287 TD: 9 - Highlight: [Hidden Content] WR- Jaylan Zallicoffer (6’0 175)- Receptions: 22-315 yards WR- Kyle Tucker (6’1 170lbs)- Receptions: 18-286 RB- Darius Lynch (5’8 185)- All Purpose Yards: 667 TD’s: 10 Notes: Humble features 5 WR with over 100 yards, 3 over 200, and 2 over 300. Defensive Scheme: 4-2-5 Defensive Notes: Very physical defense. Strength is their Defensive line. Very large, and very quick. Secondary is fast, and the unit as a whole seems to swarm to the ball very well. Weakness is that the scheme seems to be high risk high rewards, and blown coverage’s happen. Defensive Key Players: DT- Paul Boyette Jr. (6’4 275) [Hidden Content] DT- Zorell Ezell (6’2 250) - [Hidden Content] DE- Kyndal Hill (6’5 210) - [Hidden Content] FS- Brison Burris (5’11 175) [Hidden Content] Note: as a Unit The Humble D has accounted for 20 Sacks, and 12 INT’s. Highlights: Stratford Spartans Record: 6-4 Offensive Scheme: Spread/ Pistol Offense Notes: Run multiple spread formations. They are heavy run, and a good dosage of pass. This could be because their QB was out most of the season with an injury. Has since returned. Offensive Key Players: QB- Terrence Louis Height: 6’0 Weight: 175 Passing Yards: 757 TD’s: 7 INT’s: 2 RB- Tim Burton Rushing Yards: 729 TD’s: 11 RB- Brian Skuliski Rushing Yards: 677 TD’s: 8 WR- Garret Jones Receptions: 19-286 TD’s: 5 Note: Have several running backs that have seen considerable carries. Have 3 RB’s with over 300 yards. All RB’s appear to have the ability to run the ball. Indication that the Offensive Line is good. Defensive Scheme: 3-4 Defensive Notes: Appear to have a stout Secondary. DB Rainey and DB Sherrad Anchor the Secondary. They are legitimate threats. Defensive Key Players: DB- Kelvin Rainey DB- Matt Sherrad DB- Jamie Dye Note: I do not have stats on them, because their coach doesn’t enter them onto Max-Preps. So its hard for me to really get a grip of their key players. But what I do know is that their Defensive line is good. Have a solid D-Tackle. They appear to get solid pressure and penetration on opposing lines. __________________________________________________ _________ This game should be a good one. Stratford is a solid team with a solid group of players. I expect a hard fought game on both sides, and i am looking forward to next weekend. As far as how these two teams match up? Well they are both former 5a schools, and Stratford features a monster Oline and Humble features a great Defensive Line. I have a lot of respect for the Spartans, and i think this match ups winner will have a lot of success in the playoffs. -HUM
 19.

lol..whos up for you?
Well, Willis plays Huntsville tonight...  If Willis wins, we get Kingwood Park.  If Huntsville wins, we get Caney Creek.  IMO, Willis beats Huntsville.  What about you?
Theirs just no way in hell Huntsville beats Willis... Huntsville is terrible. Kingwood Park is who you will draw, and id be careful.  Kingwood Park is very similar to Stratford in ability and talent.    but i think yall should handle them (45-7 Cubs)...but a preformance like last night and yall could be on the losing end.
 20.
Just read this today in the Banner Press- Brenham gets Caney Creek if, Huntsville beats Willis.  If Willis beats Huntsville, it will be Kingwood Park.  (Kingwood Park beating, Huntsville made this possible)
For the sake of having a better game, you'd want K-Park.    Huntsville is just bad, and their is just no way i see them beating Willis.

 22.
i can see Stratford having a chance against humble because they lost all ther games without the starting QB. They had Sophomore in there. There going to lose this week they play Brenham.
They got a good as a shot as any. Im not ignorant or arrogant enough to believe Humble will walk in and just take it away from Stratford.  That being said:  I like our chances.  I have a ton of respect for Stratford, and look forward to the game.  Just hope we host the game here at Turner Stadium.
 23.
You may want to worry about Humble and Central....... Or go to the DMN.com for Aledo and the San Antonio paper for Tivy for the latest standings....
Humble and Central are both Div 1.
 24.
Mag West has already beat Willis this year, so i see district 17 either going 3-1 or sweeping 18.
So you see Stratford beating Humble? I agree with grasshopper, should be a great game.  Ill get a better feel when i go watch them on Thursday.  The Humble Defense is a very opportunistic unit, it will be interesting to see how they match up against Stratford offense.
