Can anyone remember the last time WOS had zero penalties at halftime??? That’s crazy! Lol. Maybe back in the leather helmet days of Rod Robertson and company??

Man, one bad game by an exceptionally young Mustang team and people want to throw in the towel?? Come on, it’s still WOS!

He’s not new. He was strictly just kicking off in the scrimmages. And he’s wearing my old number. Lol

Don't lump all WO-S fans into that thinking. Nederland has always been a good match up for us. I stated earlier this game would be decided by a small point margin. You can't get smaller than one point. Too many WO-S fans have been spoiled. Some of our followers can't appreciate the process of developing a young team into a district winner and serious playoff contender. No matter how good your program and regardless of past success, any team can find themselves in the position where WO-S is right now. Our development stages are behind the normal timelines because most of these guys are playing varsity for the first time. WO-S's roster is loaded with sophomores and juniors. They need more time to get to where they want to be. I believe this includes that the coaches are still deciding on players and their positions. We're also missing our best player. Fans need to be patient. All in all, WO-S showed progress since the Vidor scrimmage. Nederland won the game and there is no shame in that. Congratulations Bulldogs. See you again next year.

Good game. Congrats Nederland, i look forward to following you for the rest of the season. Mustangs will be fine, we’re just young and in time the kids will get it figured out.

He is picking them apart.  Hitting a lot of those short to mid range passes..  as soon as our secondary gets a little to deep on the coverage he hits the receiver.  He has had a few nice runs but that part has been contained pretty well.  Was going to be tuff going into the second half down by 14 and them getting the ball first but now it’s going to be very tough.

Not a bad idea with that grueling district coming up. That’s what matters...no reason to risk it.

Nederland has my respect. Always has. I'm expecting a battle. Whoever wins will do so by a small point spread.

No I expect them to win because of the hard work they r putting in leading up to Friday and other programs like wos who put in the work will be successful too. programs like that reload not rebuild , u either get it done or u don't young or not no excuses that's how the program is built and if your on the outside looking in you wouldn't understand

looking at the clip, WOS seemed to have some issues wrapping up. saw some png running out of tackles. the WOS QB looks to have some wheels and an arm ALSO!! ijs...rookie mistake on the screen pass.

My takeaways from watching from mid second quarter(got there late). Typical scrimmage with lots of rotation of players. Both teams won due to the quality of each team (the whole point of a scrimmage). WOS looked a little larger than normal up front. DB’s look typical WOS speed but we’re out of position many times against the pass. Great to see many “pearl” helmets making plays to try and earn that Silver helmet. Haven’t seen #45 before but played well at linebacker for WOS. Tyrone throws one of the most beautiful passes I’ve ever seen but the timing is off which led to a couple INT’s. That will get fixed. Running game needs some work but I believe that was mostly the blocking up front. PNG has some big kids up front. They always do but that could be a huge plus for them this season. RJ is nasty as that’s the first time I’ve seen him in person. Passes the “real deal” eye test. On his scramble for a TD run once he got past the LB’s it was like he hit the turbo button, the kid is lightning fast!! I look forward to following him and the NDN’s for the season. PNG could have a very special team this year, they are fast at all positions. Their D looked great even though they rotated out many players and rightfully so due to it being a scrimmage. All in all, I believe it ended up showing 2 things.....PNG looks like they will make a lot of noise in 5A and WOS, although young, looks to be pretty dang salty. Once again, it’s just a scrimmage but I liked what I saw.....minus the blocking and pass timing for WOS(which will be corrected) and look forward to following both teams on a long season.
