1. What year is this team? Will they be having tryouts anytime soon?
2. I think both teams have a pitcher out. Could be wrong.
3. Anderson is as good as any pitcher in the area in any classification. He can carry a team to victory.
4. What, is it bash successful coach week or something? >:(
5. Lcmbasball1995, So you don't have a kid in the program and you got to watch practice???? Dude, get a hobby.
6.
Wonder how PNG will do with all the drama going down in NDN Nation???????
guess this is gonna be on here all year. lets all try not to get another thread deleted. let the process play out and stop reliving it on this board.
7. pngpurple4ever did you see your name down on the 20-4A!!!! thread where you were the winner of the 20-4A preseaon prediction?  down at bottom of topics on page one  just fyi
8. Well said about Coach Landry fellows. Here is another perspective I was thinking about. Coach Landry took his kids and finished in the same spot in his district race as Nederland did in their respective district race. Fourth place. Too bad only three teams go in 3A.  Not a bad job if you ask me. Heck NOBODY thought the mustangs had a chance going in, but in the end they lost a 2-1 game that would have forced a play in game I think.
9. I think last week Bridge City exercised their right not to swap sites with someone.  Maybe Silsbee? The Silsbee people, if that was in fact who it was against,  handled that one with a tad bit more class IMO.
10.
The dogs will definitely win this one at home. No doubt about it.
Couldn't agree more. Dogs something like 7-1.
11.
and what makes you think you could do with  6 outs what you hadn't done with 15 outs.....and did ya'll see Dup warming up in our bullpen? Just consider yourself lucky that you didn't have to face him.......
Great point. No one ever comes back in the late innings and wins. NEVER!!!!  ::) ::) ::) I saw Nederland JV play last year and don't remember seeing the Duplaint (sp??) kid. Was he stuck on the varsity bench behind some of those guys that graduated?
12. Thunder and lightening is a 30 minute delay, not a rain out. I have heard a of lightening delay.  I have heard of a rain delay.  I have heard of a rain out. However, I have never heard of a lightening out.  Or a thunder out. You simply sit out until you can resume or get rained out.  And I do not think there is a rule that you cannot play after midnight. (except on Saturday night).
13. Do you think it was necessary to throw a guy that is capable of striking out 16 hitters a complete game on opening day?  Especially with a 7 run lead?  Was no one else capable of holding that lead and relieving him in after four of five?  16 k's equals high pitch count too. He had to be well over a hundred after seven complete.
14. I did not know coaches could use that kind of language these days.
15. I simply used that example because any athletic director that will run off a good man because he could not lead a mediocre team to the playoffs better win some games himself.
16. I smell a rat!  He has coached some successful teams and then fields a group he struggles to win with and gets "releaved"?  My guess is some of the kids not getting to play and probably a few that did play but unsuccessfully had parents in high places that got involved in this.  I sure hope he did not get undercut by any of his own people trying to move up.  Find it hard to believe that the AD at Silsbee would releave any coach for not winning enough.  They have not just torn it up as of late in football.
17. Well, because Brenham needs a little warm up game or BP to get ready for the Bulldogs in the quarterfinals.  ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)
18.
I have a question for those "umpires" out there. When you set up behind the catcher, are you supposed to be directly behind him or "peeking" over the shoulder? That guy would set up so far to the batter's side (right or left) that there is no way he could see the outter half of the plate. Most of those outside called strikes (and missed called strikes) had to be guesses. Really do not think the last pitch was a called strike, I think he called him out on the check swing.
So the guy was set up a few inches to far one way or the other? You are saying you had a better angle from a few hundred FEET away in the bleachers.  ??? ??? ??? I don't doubt the guy was bad, but I just doubt it had to do with his set up behind the catcher. Since it can be done effectively from the bleachers a few inches shouldn't matter.
19.

1. Nederland 2. Port Neches 3. Vidor 4. LCM 5. Lumberton 6. Livingston 7. Ozen 8. Central
Not bad for predicting this back on March 29th.
Not bad for possibly only having four out of eight correct.
20. What a list of good pitchers!
