I noticed he passes on hitting the six footer and then hits the next guy. If you listen to the whole video shown on msnbc, I think you can hear the kids dad rooting him on to hit the kid.

Of those serious suggestions made thus far, none are as good of a coach as Coach Bryant. None have the experience, and none have had the success. One has never coached a high school game and none have ever even advanced past the first round of the playoffs. Bryant did not play some important community members kids or grandkids. One ran for school board and won. Then they sat and waited for him to make a mistake or two. He did, then axed him. What good coach wants a job where if you don't play the school boards family they will find a way to fire you. The AD that reassgined this coach, better play the right kids in football or he might find himself coaching elementary PE a year from now. (or an assistant at WB)

THE BIG TIMERS? C'MON Are they really big time? THE FRANCHISE? COOOOMON! Are they really franchise players? FIRST ROUNDer's Are they actually going to be first rounders? Or is it "If you play for us you will be big time." Or "if you play for us you will be a franchise player." Or "if you play for us you will be a first round draft pick." You are teaching these kids at least one thing that is wrong. My guess is it goes beyond that. I prefer the normal names such as Sun Devils, Lumberjacks, These names lead me to believe they are not a bs'ing these kids and their parents from the first hand shake. My guess is these teams win more also.

Normally I would agree with you. But there are some major problems in Bulldog country and PNG seems to be peeking right now. I wouldn't be surprised to see another run rule by the NDN's, but not going to predict it. PNG 9 Nederland 0 same score as Vidor I think.

Both teams had scary games last time out. No doubt the team that can refocus the fastest has the advantage. In other words the more mentally tough team probably wins this one. After the game these two played the first time around the advantage has to go to PNG. From what I heard LCM was extremely flat versus Central last night. If this happens tonight it could get ugly. PNG 10 LCM 7 (png is at least as good as Central)

Turning next round into double header is not the rule. Easter weekend might be ruled by district executive committee as not the next playable date but, how much pitching you have or don't have is irrelevant to the UIL. Your next available date might be next Monday or Wednesday. Quote from UIL Baseball Manual "District varsity baseball games postponed by weather or public disaster (not including illness) shall be rescheduled on the next date, other than Sunday, on which another district game is not scheduled. In the event weather or public disaster forces the makeup game to be rescheduled it shall be rescheduled on the next date as described earlier. These makeup games may be played as an exception to the school week limitation."

Kelly 5 Vidor 1 top 6th

Admin was simply giving him some props and then ranked the Kelly team 9th. Fazio was 88-90 this weekend and looked really good. Fazio did not struggle against PNG. This comes from both sides, the umpire did the struggling. ...and I am right there with you Terrier, I think PNG has a better team than Westbrook at this point.

Coop did you ever hear anything thing on this job? Finalists maybe?
