you smoking serious dope...get help soon. sorry, numbers become problematic for small schools...Newton is conditioned to run up against teams that are also playing players both ways. fresh set of legs when PAM back ups are legit starters on other teams Newton would not have a chance...oh by the way here is a FACT. a port arthur team did BEAT a good Newton. it was Davis Suggs FIRST game coaching a Port Arthur Lincoln team with a brand new veer offense installed a month prior to playing them. 14-0 i think was the score or 14-6...IN NEWTON.
14-13

I saw Newton play in Arlington last year and saw everything they had returning this year. I knew then that this year they would beat anyone in this area and I still believe that to be true today.

LCM was hanging with them?
That isn't the only time Ive heard that & it keeps getting funnier each time.
Wasn't Silsbee up by double digits before the fight broke out?
Whatever makes you Orange guys sleep better at night I guess lol
Actually there is more funny stuff posted by not every but several Silsbee fans on the first couple pages of this thread before they even seen what happened.

You sound stupid down 14 and running out of gas before the half with two minutes left and you call that a game it was gonna be 30 piece easily but I can understand why you happy that would have been better then the 60 piece you got earlier in season somethings people say but if you feel like that was gonna be a game you fooling yourself
Pump the brakes, Im not from LCM just an observer. Def not trying to say LCM was going to win. My only point is Silsbee got handed a little adversity from a hungry team and they handled it very poorly. Not like a champion would IMO. Hopefully they can learn from this situation and handle it better cause believe that it will happen again before the season is over.

I have read all the posts and IMO Silsbee players play with emotion, which is what you want.....this team is so much better than any other team in their district that it breeds animosity toward the Tigers....who really knows if this was a planned strategy? WO-S beat the socks off all their opponents in football and didn't encounter this type of reaction(that i know of)...these are kids who are striving for a state championship and just because your team isn't good enough to beat them, you do this to get them disqualified? Silsbee Tigers be aware....THIS IS NOT THE END OF YOUR TESTS....
Wow. If these kids were thriving for a state championship they would have handled this situation like champions. LC-M was hanging with them and they got pissed when the refs were calling all those hand checks fouls. Instead of adjusting and over coming like champions they put the season in jeopardy. Some Silsbee fans are in denial.

2016 Stangs
2016 Stangs were dominant and I enjoyed following them this season and enjoyed being present as they hoisted the trophy the last 2 seasons. I just dont believe they could have beaten the 2000 Nederland team or the 2000 WO-S team either.

The name of the game in 5A right now is get as close as you can to 2k enrollment. That's what it takes to compete even in D2 in 5A.
True. 22-5A is at a huge disadvantage come playoff time. Central has less than 1800. Everyone else below 1600. PAM will only help this district. And before you say it i know GCM has 2100+ students, but it doesn't matter cuz they don't make the playoffs.
I just love this! I knew it was coming!! You did not play a 6A school you played a 5A school! If you can use that then hold on to your hat. Last year's numbers which would reflect the current standings are as follows:
Crosby 1509 -5a
Lumberton 1109- 5a
Ozen 1169- 5a
Goosecreek 1849 -5a
Richmond Foster 1970 -5a
PNG 1399- 5a
Nederland 1625-5a
WOS 594 - 4a
So my point is.... saying that they stepped on the field with a 6a team is just an excuse we are all waiting for! Just because the numbers go up in the school does not mean they are a much better football team. WOS beat PNG and they have 805 more students, Goosecreek has 740 more students then Lumberton and Lumberton beat them. The size of the school has NOTHING to do with the fact you lost. Just take your "L" and shut up. The few Crosby fans that want put down SETX football every chance they get need to grow up and learn how to be humble. Saying 4A doesn't have that variation in their entire class and still have two divisions true but so do you in playoffs. So once again your point is invalid.
Couldn't disagree more.

Yeah, the freshman looked good considering that they are still getting used to playing together and are learning a new offense. Unlike Crosby, Dayton, and BH were the kids play together and run the highschools offense begining in 7th grade, GCM has kids from three different JH's that run three different offenses. Its hard to judge based on one game verses a lesser opponent, but there is plenty of talent there. It looks like bright days ahead for Patriots.
I don't believe the varsity game is going to be as close as last year. I'm thinking 48 - 17 GCM
This is also the case for every school in our district with the exceptions of Lee and the Beaumont schools.
Actually its not. The only schools in the district where all the kids play together in middle school is Vidor and Lumberton.
