Beaumont United should be #1 in 5A now. If the Episcopal Saints of whatever they're called can take out Kimball, there's no reason to think BU can't do it again.

I don't think CJ Ford played either. A loss is a loss though.
They meet in the playoffs, I think DV gets revenge if they're fully powered up.

Yep it sure does help when you're able to recruit your players like the TAPP'S schools. Reasons like them are the reason teams like Faith Family Academy should haft to play in a TAPP'S district because their able to recruit. It's not fair to all the small towns schools.🤷🏻‍♂️

Silsbee didn't even play very well and beat Madison a few weeks ago.
Now they're slapping us around by 25 points most the game. 
Beyond pathetic. You can pump the brakes on all that going to state talk, as far as I'm concerned. Proof is in the pudding. You played though teams and came up small. That's all on us and nobody else.

Playing Carter then playing an arguably even better Bishop Lynch team in one day is tough.
I don't really like the idea of "good losses" but hopefully we'll now get better and improve going forward.
Sadly we don't have the parts we need to fix some things. I think we're still a year away from being serious contenders.

They were, but stuff like that happens nearly every game.
If we had just kept the game close at halftime (which we SHOULD have easily done) and came out fresh with Harris playing, we would have had a great chance to win.
 
The team Silsbee is playing next beat Carter by 2 points earlier in the season, so the Tigers had better bring it for this next game.

Tigers turned the ball over 3 or 4 times in a row right before the half. Carter kid made a 40 footer at the buzzer.
Harris has got to stay out of foul trouble. Didn't play most the 1st half.

Swear to God, these refs love calling offensive fouls on Silsbee when we make a basket. That's now the 3rd or 4th time that has happened.

No dunks unless someone got one when I left with about 2 minutes to go. Looking at the score, I'd say it was 0 - 0 in that department. Miller missed one.
HJ's coach was pissed at his players. Called a timeout twice just to yell at them in the second half.
Just glad Silsbee realized a basketball game was being played after the first quarter.

Hmmm....I give that one a 7/10.

Bottley made five 3 pointers. Probably had around 20 points.
Haynes played but he wasn't his usual self at all. May take a few games for things to start to feel right.
Still don't know the exact status of our 6`4 freshman. Haven't seen him since the injury. Hopefully he can come back and get some games under his belt later in the year.

They need to get scary if they want to have a chance at state, assuming they can make it.
Lets see how it goes from here on out. I'm still not a fan of us taking out all 5 starters at once early in some games. Harris and Miller should be on the floor at all times outside of foul trouble and a little rest. The team should go through them outside of blowouts.
 

Don't know about any of the teams ( well I guess WOS) in this tourney. The hard tourney will be towards the end of December if there's no quality teams in this one.
Silsbee just needs to focus on getting better from here on out and peak come playoff time.
Be nice if a few more bench players stepped up a bit. Also be nice if we can get Miller and Harris to both go off on teams at the same time. More often than not if one is playing well the other will have a quiet night (see the last BU game). Not sure the status of our injured freshman or Haynes.
One thing the Tigers have improved on over last year is burying lesser teams and putting them away. Last year we let a few squads hang around in games they had no business being in.
