Coach can let his players know not to hurt the team with extra stuff and I'm sure he does, but he's also under pressure to win football games. I wouldn't expect any benching of players to happen. Not unless they do something really crazy bad. We just need to hope for good news on the injury front.
-
Just wait till he teaches them how to use physical speed again. They'll be going back to state.
-
West Orange will take care of Bellville, then give Hickman a new 10 year contract. Just watch.
-
Sealy needs to learn to control themselves. Don't know what their problem is.
-
Just survive and move on. It's not gonna count any more and less so long as we get a W. Have to see how much damage has been done in the injury department afterwards.
-
Man we hardly know this team, so I don't know what's up with that.
-
TD Silsbee. A very fitting one for this game.
-
I'll settle for an ugly win at this point.

How many long runs are we gonna give up tonight?

#2 Silsbee vs Sealy Bi District Round Thursday Predictions
Tigers94 replied to BADSANTA's topic in High School Football
Glad this is a Thursday game looking at the weather for Friday. Would hate to get upset in a mud bowl or something. I'll take the Tigers by 3 tds in this one. -
They'll still be in the same number classification, so I don't see what the big deal is. You can't really run from competition for too long anyways. You'd eventually run into a China Spring, who slapped Carthage around in their last meeting before moving up to D1.

Humble Summer Creek (45) @ Humble Atascocita (28) - FINAL
Tigers94 replied to jdawg03's topic in High School Football
That Avant kid for Summer Creek is a straight up monster. Almost had 300 yards rushing tonight. I can see them going far in D2 this year. -
Lets see if the district can go 4 - 0 next week.
-
Yep. I've missed seeing Silsbee quarterbacks doing stuff like this. [Hidden Content] Left all those boys in the dust. Sometimes you need to run when the line ain't holding up.
-
When was the last time Silsbee had a QB that was threat to take off for a big play? Yeah, we're importing one in from West Brook next week, but I don't know how much he'll do this year. Used to be unheard of for Silsbee to have slow, unathletic QBs that just sit back in the pocket. Be nice to have that threat again for opposing defenses to worry about.
-
Have to give Gary White a lot of credit on defense tonight. He made some pretty big plays for Silsbee when it was looking bleak. If I'm a team playing the Tigers in the playoffs, I'm gonna take as many fat kids as I can and simply try to run over and through us.

Tiger D is bound to be tired. Need to score here.
-
There's about 7 minutes left.
-
You start to think it wasn't meant to be with a fumble like that.
-
Jasper's giving other teams the blueprint for how to beat Silsbee.
-
Maybe Johnson will get a chance at QB sooner than I thought if this keeps up.
-
We're moving the ball, but can't score. Finally, a TD. 7 - 7

Speaking of PNG, this is interesting for anyone who wants a nostalgia trip. I don't specifically remember the year or score, but I know Silsbee won the first game I attended against Jasper. The game ended in a tie, but Silsbee got the win for some reason. I know it was a very low scoring game. Randy Matthews was QB that year. Games over off 7th street were crazy. Even if you didn't go and lived on 2nd street or something, you could hear nearly everything if you opened your door, and sometimes you didn't need to do that. Bet a lot of the people who lived even closer were glad when the games moved.

He doesn't know. No support on the basketball front? That's just funny. Those b-ball games are full at home, and that's with people being able to watch them on Youtube if they wanted to. This will be Silsbee's last game without Jacaleb Johnson. I don't know how much of an impact he'll make on varsity coming on so late, but we'll soon see.
