  1. The Republicans never had a super majority during G.W.'s administration. During his tenure, it took 60 votes to pass anything in the senate (until Harry Reid arbitrarily changed the rules during Obama's term). Although the Republicans held both houses, they were by slim margins. And everything was going okay until the Democrats took over both houses in '07. I'm sure you remember the "crash" in '07. Obama and the Democrats have sure referred to it hundreds of thousands of times over the course of his administration. But they somehow fail to mention that this is when to Democrats took full control of both houses. One thing Bush and the Republicans did not do...they did not bankrupt the country. And if you throw out the "Yeah right" quote, I must assume you disagree with my statement. So how about a rebuttal since you obviously disagree with it. You have on numerous occasions misused the "deflection" argument. You have accused posters of "deflecting" when all they were doing was using examples or analogies to bolster their point. But here you are trying to deflect away from the Clinton topic to a whole other topic. Next time you try and claim someone is deflecting, come back to your post to remind yourself of real deflection.
  2. I find it odd that the Democrats fully accept the theory of the Russians hacking the DNC emails, but won't admit that there is even a chance that the Russians hacked Hillary's server. It's like they think Putin told his government hackers "Go ahead and hack the DNC emails but leave Hillary's server alone."
  3. Thank God for Gingrich. Luckily Bill had to succumb to Gingrich's demands after Bill threw a hissy fit and shut down the government...twice. If it wasn't for Gingrich controlling Wild Bill's spending Bill's legacy would be comparable to Obama's.
  4. It's like a wife gets pictures in the mail of her husband cheating on her, and she start starts screaming "Who took these pictures?"
  5. When my daughter was around 12,13,14 years old, she had a friend spend the night. This friend was a heavy-set gal. We went to pick the friend up, and on the way back home Fat Bottom Girls came on the stereo. After we got home, it all of a sudden hit me. I started thinking "I hope this girl doesn't think I was playing this song in reference to her weight". So I decided the best thing to do was to kind of informally explain the song to let her know it wasn't in reference to her. So I started to explain. And as I just got started, it hit me again...How do you explain to a 13 year old a song that is talking about a man that loves to sleep with fat women because his overweight nanny molested him as a child. I immediately dropped the subject and prayed that she wouldn't run home to her parents saying I was playing fat songs about her. I never heard anything else about it, but the girl never came over to spend the night again. At that age, friendships come and go quickly, so I'm gonna chalk it up to that.
  6. Yeah, the Byrds version is a better listening version. I always try to give more credence to the originator though. I usually get upset when I find out a song I love is a remake, especially when the remake is almost identical to the original. The Byrds did a good version, but if I want to listen to this song, I will usually play Dylan's original version. I love your "jingle jangle" line. Nice reference.
  7. Danger Zone is by Kenny Loggins (formerly with Jim Messina of Loggins & Messina). Danger Zone was a solo song after the duo broke up. Messina was a producer when Loggins was trying to break into the music business. They became friends and Messina decided to help him write some songs. Loggins first album was supposed to be a solo album, but Messina had contributed so much that they decided to release it as a duo, thus the birth of Loggins and Messina. Mr. Tambourine Man is by Bob Dylan. The Byrds version is a remake. Though Dylan has denied it, many people think the song is a reference to drugs, particularly LSD.
  8. Al Capone died of pneumonia after his body was ravaged with syphilis. Bill has followed the same lifestyle. So maybe it might be something other that Parkinson's. Just guessing.
  9. That would bring back memories of District 22-5A in the 80's: Beaumont French Beaumont Charlton-Pollard Beaumont West Brook West Orange-Stark (instead of Lumberton) Nederland Port Arthur Jefferson Port Neches-Groves Vidor
  10. He could be worse. About the same odds as winning the lottery.
  11. Going bankrupt with your own private company doesn't come close to bankrupting the greatest nation this world has ever seen. Does $20 trillion in debt, paying $262 billion a year in debt payments ring a bell? Compare that with how much Trump cost us. Hell, compare Trump's bankruptcies to how much Obama's Solyndra investment cost us.
  12. I guess you forgot about Obamacare, though I wouldn't consider that an "accomplishment". More like another failed Liberal policy.
  13. What point are you trying to make?
  14. Not voting for a Supreme Court justice in the last year of a presidency was started by the Democrats, known as the Biden rule. This is from the ultra-left New York Times: [Hidden Content] And thank God they blocked much of Obama's agenda. We would be way worse off, worse than we are now, if they hadn't.
  15. I've done contract work for a few companies since Obamacare was passed. One company employees around 2,000 people, one with around 5,000, and one with over 30,000 employees. And each company saw a dramatic rise in premiums and deductibles. So I guess that's 37,001 (including mine) to 2 (you and Big Girl). Each company saw at least a 20% rise in the first two years of Obamacare. For the previous 8 years was a total of less than 8% rise. You just keep on listening to the Democrats lying to you.
  16. Yeah, Big Girl tried to say the same thing. Y'all must be the only people in America that hasn't saw a dramatic rise in premiums and deductibles since the (Un)affordable Healthcare law was passed.
  17. Doing something is not always better than doing nothing. If you go to the hospital with a broken arm and the doctor cuts your leg off, are you going to say "Well at least he did something."? And what the Republicans and Democrats need to do is get the hell out of the Healthcare business. And you want to blame Republicans for spending a busload of money (to which the Democrats also voted for) when the Democrats have us $20 trillion dollars in debt. We pay $262 billion a year in interest payments on this debt. Try another Democrat lie. You seem to have them memorized.
  18. That is factually the opposite of the truth. Just another lie perpetuated by the Left and lapped up by the good sheeple. Just like Republicans want dirty air and dirty water. As far as Obamacare, many, many, many people can't go to the doctor for preventative care because their deductibles are too high. How many people will die because they can't afford basic care due to unaffordable premiums and deductibles...ones that previously had good healthcare coverage? And the hospitals and doctors do not put patients out on the streets to die because the patient can't afford healthcare. But you keep on perpetuating that lie.
  19. Possibly, if he gets strapped with a Democrat congress like W got. If he gets lucky and gets a Republican congress, he could very well be one of the best presidents in U.S. history.
  20. I get called a racist on a daily basis, so attempts like this one doesn't bother me. In fact, it's very sophomoric and unimaginative. And no you don't know better. I fear a Hillary presidency will be just as bad as Obama's, probably worse. I will have to wait to see her presidential platform to find out which I despise more. Both are elitists that think they should tell you the best way to run your own life, thus my contempt for them. But you will just blame it on pigmentation.
  21. He's a vile, petty, thin-skinned, arrogant man. But he doesn't even come close to pinnacle of contempt that Hillary deserves.
  22. Of course, but everyone makes a few mistakes in their lifetime. I just hope they don't make a third straight mistake and elect Hillary.
  23. I have never heard of how any ex-presidents vote, so I couldn't answer that question. I'm not sure what you are driving at. If you are trying to bash Trump by making this statement, then I agree with you. I would have a hard time voting for Trump after he bashed my family. Trump didn't bash my family and I'm still having a hard time voting for him. I'm voting for him only because the alternative will be predictably and unequivocally a disaster. Pointing out that Trump is an a-hole doesn't make a Hillary presidency and more desirable.
  24. Every cop deserves respect by earning the badge. If he then disgraces the badge he then earns and deserves contempt. Every President earns respect by winning the Office. If he then disgraces the Office then he earns and deserves contempt. Simple concept! And Obama has been on the receiving end of vile and vitriol far, far less than G.W. Bush.
  25. Would these practices still be in place if the majority of Whites hadn't fought against them also? The majority of Whites put a stop to these practices that happened 50+ years ago. Have you ever given credit to the millions of Whites that changed and outlawed discriminatory practices? Are you still trying to use these outlawed practices to further the victimhood mentality?
