Back to the TOPIC: Best Girls Team in the Area. It's safe to say NOW that neither Memorial or Central are the best !! I still say Lumberton is the best followed closely by Orangefield.

Lady Bears looked pretty good last night. Still making some small mistakes, but they hustle and work harder than any LCM teams I've seen in the past few years. I'm not saying they are going to compete for a District Championship, but they will surprise some people this year.

Here's one, Coach talking to a kid that had just made a bone head play in the infield of a softball game : Girl if your brain was a ball, and you could take it out and roll it ; it would look like a BB rolling down I-10 !

That scoreboard is no worse than that Air Horn or you cans with ball bearings ! I kind of like it !! Sure comes in handy when you play PNG. I didn't have to hear Cherokee all night long !

LCM, Bridge City and Vidor all scrimmaged at BC this past Saturday. I believe BC beat LCM and LCM beat Vidor. I missed the Vidor - Bridge City game. They didn't keep score ! Bridge city looked pretty good to have just got out of Volleyball. Jaques is awesome. What an athlete!! They are in need of a ball handler though. Other than that, I think they will surprise some people this year. LCM showed their age. (Young) They were inconsistent, but played pretty well overall. Their main problem is that they have no heigth. They do have pretty good speed though and once they get their offense and defense down they should surprise some people. Vidor, looks better than they were last year, but they are still behind. They do seem to have a couple of girls that are pretty athletic and can get up and down the court.

I have seen people bring lawn chairs before. So bring it. Ya'll be leaving at Half Time anyway. :wink:

Defensive Line Coach to a player " Son you need to go down to Conns and get one of those matresses they have on sale and strap it to your back, since you like playing there the majority of the time !!

I'll try, but if they scrimmage like they did at Buna the other night, they will not keep score and they didn't play a game type scrimmage.

OF and Sulphur should be a good one also. Sulphur is usually pretty tuff.

No doubt, it has to be the Mauriceville Panthers. They only had 6 points scored against them all year. :shock:

LCM Lady Bears scrimmage Bridge City this Saturday at 10:30 AM. I'm ready for some B-Ball !! Go Lady Bears!
