1. Vidor possibly, the other 2 no way. Bob Knight couldn't have took those teams to the playoffs. Lumberton doesn't have the record they do without him coaching the team I guarantee that.
2. Heads up to everyone. We had a Gypsy swing by my office today trying to sell us a BS Asphalt job and scoping our place. Anyone not familiar with these guys they travel all over the Southern United States and scam the hell out of people. Their usual spill is they have a bunch of hot asphalt left over from a job in the area that they will sell you dirt cheap and what they do is pour it and spread it and as soon you write them the check they go cash it and are out of the area. Couple days later the job turns to crap and you are screwed. Warn your older relatives especially they really try to target them hard.
3. Did you really just say Lumberton's coach ain't that good??? Dude took a absolute garbage Vidor team and took them too the playoffs every year and took a Lumberton program that was in a drought into the regional tournament and turned them into quite a formidable opponent and very deserving of their ranking. Players are great but they aren't as good as they are by accident. Geez people these days....
4. Westbrook got beat by a Lumberton team that played pretty poorly themselves, don't try the they beat themselves card. Also don't understand how a opposing coach could send her team into the opposing teams huddle?? If i'm not mistaken that is a technical foul and pretty low rent on wb's part.
5. I remember a athlete who played against "nobodies" by the name of Tramain Thomas. That guy went on to be one heck of a player at Arkansas. Arnold is around Tramains level in football just doesn't quite have the size he did. If we are talking about most athletic in the area. My votes are for Arnold and Dauphine. Can't forget about the young man who is a heck of a football player and a world class runner.
6. I think that Coach Mathews and that Vidor program has done more than enough to prove their stereotypes wrong. This is about kids, head coaches and programs. Keep the other crap to yourselves. I grew up in a poverty home and sports was my escape from all the mess at home and kept me on the right path and made me a succesful adult today. It's important for these kids to get the same thing I did and that's good coaches and role models to keep them on track.
7. lolol That dang stomping will always cost ya
8. No this was Ryan Johnson. Jordan will be one heck of a player though.
9. Great game by Johnson, kid refused to get rattled and pitched one heck of a game. Kept the ball down in the zone and his slider looked really good. Horns put together a full game and got some timely and clutch hits. Keep it going fella's!
10.
EC Quinn Brown Pat Denton Pat Thomas TJ White Greg Lavier
You have to have Tramain Thomas on this list.
11. Question is how Coach Jacks hasnt got it the past 3 years especially that first year when he turned 0-20 something team into a playoff team. Its about time he gets recognized. Whats special about taking a loaded team with speed height and several d-1 athletes to the second round?
12. If PN-G and Ned refuse feel free to send them out to Hamshire we'll take him  ;D
13. I don't know of anyone in 4a that can beat georgetown I have never seen a girls team that dominant defensively.
14. BH you going to make the trip over to Waller to watch the game?
15. Ladies and Gentleman meet our forum hard*** Mr. Used to be. I'll be at the Central vs Nederland game I feel like it will be the better game.
16. Friday 7pm in Waller. I'll be leaving Copes Trailers at 2:00 and headed that way  8)
17. They both have 10+ point wins against Waco Midway. If Vidor plays with same energy as they did early last night and shoots the ball like they are capable of then there is no reason why they can't win this game. It's all about matchups
18. Have to start off by saying great job Amber Jacks best game she has played all year and man it sure did come around at just the right time not bad for a freshman  ;D. Vidor got a little behind early they were running with a team that was more athletic but once they slowed things downs and started moving the ball around and finishing shots in the paint things turned around quickly. I kept telling my dad they better not let this team hang around or it would be bite them in the butt and i'll be dang if it almost did! One of the things that good teams do is when times get tough, the momentum is not in your favor, the other crowd is rocking and the other team has your back against the wall, is dig deep and find a way to win the game and that is exactly what the lady Pirates did last night and I couldn't be prouder. Also just like Rob said Blair made the play of the year last night. Got knocked down to her knees kept dribbling with two defenders all over somehow got to her feet squeezed between them and drove to the hole and scored. Congrats again ladies I wouldnt be suprised at all to see ya'll give Georgetown the ol upset special on Friday. All it takes is getting hot at the right time and playing with everything you've got.
19. That was the best girls basketball play I have seen this year. That was just plain sick.
