This will be a play to win game just like any other. Unless a player has a nagging injury. 

No we beat them and Lipan game we played the worst game we played all year I'm sure in large part to Lipan. We've only lost 2 the other was to Spring Hill on a shot at the buzzer. Hagar we are playing the best ball of the year right now. Just hope it last.

Read above everyone talking about they would or should have done this or that. Things change kids get hurt stuff happens.  I can only speak for Shelbyville but I would think EC as well will consider this season a Bust if they don't bring home a state title. Therefore if beating Shelbyville is more important to EC then by all means go all out. All I'm saying 4 games later things may happen and coaches may have to make decisions. Still picking Shelbyville to win but could careless as long as they win the title

Please pray for Shelbyville head coach David Schmidt who was admitted to intensive care today and missed the game. Congratulations to Shelbyville boys super effort. 

I agree with you 100%. Would think East Chambers has better depth than Shelbyville but this game doesn't mean anything. These two both will have disappointing seasons if their last game is a loss even in the finals. 

Highly doubt it but I plan on attending and may do some audio broadcasts.

Few of Friday games tentatively set for playoff preview at Tenaha on 15-16th Grapeland vs Newton and Shelbyville vs East Chambers and Tenaha vs Carthage. Looking at 12-14 games so more to come.

I would have to lean towards EC.

I guess my point is, after browsing thru every single schedule of all our coverage area teams, not one school has a schedule like Hardin. Hardin has the only schedule where no team that they have played was at least a same classification school or higher than Hardin. That includes scheduling the three tournaments (2A Deweyville, 1A High Island, small school private Baytown Christian). Every single opponent till district play was a classification smaller, not even equal.
IMO, that sounds more like padding a record than trying to make your team better.
And from what I have been told by some in the know, that's exactly what's going on. Otherwise, why would someone ask what another coach's record was at Hardin?

Wow!  That is massive for a 2A game!  Do those folks think they live in Indiana or something???

Shelbyville 64 Oakwood 48 

Start coaching to win instead coaching not lose , United was up 11 pts at the start of the 4th qtr. You have a division 1 guard no way in hell you lose that type of lead. Do you think if Boutte has what United has he would struggle hell no!!!!!! If ppl do not see the glaring problems then you don’t know the game, it’s the same things every game so it can’t  be learning experience. Players have to be taught how to play especially this group of kids. You just can’t roll them out there with no offensive sets and the same predictable defense and think your giving your team a chance to win. It’s kids out there who trust what the coaches are telling so that means they haven’t bought in. Everybody ain’t Silsbee you can’t  just out hoop everybody. They might finish 3rd im district but y’all think that’s acceptable because it’s just learning experiences that’s the exact mindset those kids don’t need stop giving out participation trophies nobody wants that stuff.

SHELBYVILLE WINS CHAMPIONSHIP BY defeating Casady out of Oklahoma City 81-79. Very good win

Watched Shelbyville beat Evadale the last two years.  Think most of the team back from last year.  They’ll be a force.
